It was a cool evening after a rainy afternoon, we decided to go for some satay since the queue doesn't seems to be that long at Old Punggol Satay stall. We ordered chicken, pork and mutton satay, which was served with cucumber slices and satay dip. The satay dip was well grated peanut sauce with some pineapple puree to balance off the sweetness with some citrus. We ordered chicken, pork and mutton satay, which was served with cucumber slices and satay dip. The satay dip was well grated peanut sauce with some pineapple puree to balance off the sweetness with some citrus.
The mutton satay was a bit disappointing, slightly dry and seems to be over-barbecued. The chicken and pork was good, but not overly impressed as we were expecting it to be more tender and juicy after so much were mentioned in the reviews. Maybe I catch them on the wrong day, will try again in my next visit to Alexandra Village Food Centre.
