It's very scenic from exterior, as though, I'm in a illusion Ancient Chinese world. mm, too bad, the staff brought us to our seats in Level 2 before we can admire our surroundings. There's indoor and outdoor seats available, given the terrible warm weather - outdoor seats are not a good choice

We walked up a staircase with some Chinese poems embedded on the wall, a long sleeping chair with chess and a guzheng on the other side. It would be good if one of the staff could play some tunes with the guzheng during dinner - definitely add more points! Oh, private dinning rooms are available too.

Oh well, Buddha jump over the wall is out of budget for us and thus we opted for the promotion dinner set - choose an item from 5 categories - Appetizers/ Soup, Seafood, Meat/ Poultry, Vegetables and Rice/ Noodles.

The soup is high on MSG and the crab roe is so fine that we couldn't taste it. Though the food quality fails but its portion is good. Both of us have 2 bowls each.

The fish is so miserable small and even smaller after we skinned the fried layer. There are mushrooms and some other vegetables within the fried layer, which made it rather tasty and unusual.

Not bad, slightly above average. But seriously, a good zhe cha stall can do better.

Best dish out of all
Cabbage is soft and we can taste the sweetness of the cabbage and the sauce compliments it. A few dried scallops increase its flavour too.

The server recommended this to us, saying that it's one of the top selling dishes. True as what she said - it doesn't have the alkaline taste and doesn't turn soggy after 15 to 20 minutes. The flavour is heavy, which is suitable for people like me
They are generous with ingredients too, in fact, the portion is too much for 2 persons.

Refreshing! But the syrup is a little too sweet ~

One of their popular dishes too
It's very well-presented but it's a bit dried, unlike the usual Teochew style, whereby it's smooth and thick.
