I love xiao long bao and normally people would tell me that Din Tai Fung's steamed pork dumplings are good..which is something I don't get because I tried it for the second time today and it is just as terrible as the first time I had it. The xiao long bao is ridiculously small and unlike most xiao long bao, there is such a small amount of soup in the xiao long bao that when I bite into it, it won't even flow out or scald my tongue. Also, the soup has a sweet taste but the flavour is way too weak for a xiao long bao. The pork however, is very fine, and taste like any other average xiao long bao's pork.

The only positive thing I have to say about their xiao long bao is the way they serve it. The xiao long baos are placed on a white piece of wet cloth, which will not allow the xiao long bao to stick to it. Most restaurants' xiao long bao will stick to the aluminium foil or paper or cloth they use for their xiao long bao.

As a xiao long bao enthuiast, considering they are charging 10 pieces for $9.00 or 6 pieces for $6.50, I'd say it is totally not worth it as there are many better and cheaper xiao long bao out there. I will not recommend it to anyone.
