I was very lucky to be invited to the food tasting session at Uncle Leong Seafood at Tebing Lane. I reached there 20 minutes earlier than expected. Hence, I went to take a look at the surroundings. I was very lucky to be invited to the food tasting session at Uncle Leong Seafood at Tebing Lane. I reached there 20 minutes earlier than expected. Hence, I went to take a look at the surroundings. I was quite surprised to see that there are quite a number of places for food and also of entertainment purposes. There are prawn fishing and indoor soccer fields around that area. I was also amazed that there is a river nearby. It was indeed a perfect destination for relaxing and enjoying.

After everyone arrived and greeting were made, the dishes were ready to be served. Some of their signature dishes include, Shimmering Sand Crab, Crab Bee Hoon Soup, Fortune Chicken, Guinness Pork Ribs,Deep Fried Beancurd.

My favourite dish is Crab Bee Hoon Soup. As a big fan of the normal hawker fish bee hoon soup, I definitely would not miss this dish. What more can I say? The soup broth is amazingly smooth and milky, with a slight fragrance of the crab. The bee hoon is nicely cooked, perfect for slurping it down with the soup broth. Unfortunately, there is another dish Shimmering Sand Crab, thus as compared, the crab seems more normal-tasting. However, the dish is still delicious overall.

Next, the Shimmering Sand Crab! I have eaten many types of crab such as Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab etc. But... this dish is just stunning and leaves me a deep impression. The light cream sauce is made up of butter, white pepper and curry leaves. It is like a perfect combination with the crab. Also as the owner's creation, this dish is a must-try!

Other than crab dishes, the steamed Red Garoupa is also very fresh and the meat is tender. They also served us with light desserts such as Yam Paste and Longan Sea Coconut. The desserts were like saviors to our stomachs after a heavy sumptuous meal. I would definitely recommend Uncle Leong Seafood to my family and friends!
