Sushi Express from Taiwan open a new branch at Westgate and they are having promotion of $1 per plate. Hence, I decided join in the long queue during lunch time.

The queue was fast, waiting time around 30 minutes. When seated, the friendly staff introduced us where to take the condiments and how to self made the green tea.

The sushi conveyor belt was moving fast, the sushi rolled pass quite fast, sometimes I missed some of my favourite sushi while I was munching the food.

The sushi was freshly made and meat was chilled. The salmon sushi's meat was fatty and soft to bite on, the taste of the meat was slightly sweet. The sushi rice was more to the sweet side with a hint of mirin and vinegar.

The cooked scallop was somewhat disappointing. Although the scallop was cooked just right and not chewy, the meat was quite bland even eaten with the special sweet sauce.

The fish roe tasted fresh and salty. It was crispy to bite on and the juice burst into mouth when bite on.

Overall, I felt that the sushi quality was slightly above to supermarket ones and for the price of $1 per plate, it was quite cheap.
