If you are an owl whom only roams around at night, you probably would know of Swee Choon Dim Sum Restaurant in Jalan Besar. They specializes in hong kong dim sum which is affordable and delicious. They operates from 6pm to 6am daily and closed on Tuesday. There are also many waiters/waitress serving you so you dont have to worry that nobody will notice your existence. We reached Swee Choon at about 10 pm and quickly settle down to order some dishes as we are famished. In total, we ordered 5 dish

We reached Swee Choon at about 10 pm and quickly settle down to order some dishes as we are famished. In total, we ordered 5 dishes which includes the following :

1. 虾饺 (har gao) $2.20 for 2

Each plate only consists of two har gaos which means one is for $1.10.
It is slightly more expensive than usual but !!! It is definitely worth it. It is probably the best 虾饺 I ever eat. The prawns are fresh and it fills up the whole dumpling. Unlike other restaurants where they only fill the dumpling with probably half of the prawn? Love the prawn dumpling here!

2. Steamed Pork Ribs ($2.50)

It was pretty yummy but the serving was way too small.
You still can give it a try if you are there too!

3. 小笼包 (Xiao Long Bao) $4 for 4

Having said that it is $4 for 4, it is actually a dollar for every one you pop into your mouth. Haha! The outer layer of the dumpling is thicker than what i expected but the filling was great! It was so juicy and meaty! Thumbs up sign

4.虾仁炒饭 (Prawn Fried Rice) $4.50

The rice was very dry and hard. You definitely need a cup of drink when you are having the fried rice. Not recommended though.

5. 奶黄流沙包 (Salted egg yolk custard bun)

This is my first time trying salted egg yolk custard bun. Im always amazed by how people post on instagram with the filling flowing out of the bun! Today, i have the chance to try it! ^^ it was good but maybe not my favourite. Personal preference!

That's it from me!
This would be my favourite place for dim sum at night!
