The restaurant was located at the entrance to ION from Orchard Boulevard, next to Popeyes. The ambience was fine, as we were seated along a few sets of sofa seats facing opposite to the ice cream counter, where we see the staff in the serving of ice cream orders. Ordered the Breaded Chicken Cutlet, which was very good! Not only it was well deep fried and crispy, the meat was juicy and tender! It came with quite a lot of fries and coleslaw. Fries were fine and coleslaw tasted bland but still acceptable overall.
My friend ordered the Aglio pasta. This pasta was spicy with cut chilli and mushrooms. Somehow the taste of the pasta was not there (as we still prefer those from Pasta Mania), and think the use of olive oil was limited and the pasta was quite dry and we could only taste the spiciness from the chilli. Mushrooms were a bit overcooked.
As for the ice cream, my friend overall commented that the ice cream were quite good, especially those of durian, chocolate and coconut flavours. The cakes were fine too and credit would go for the waffle with ice cream! Besides this, on the buffet spread, you could help yourself with the strawberries, sweets and candies which could be added to the ice cream or consume at your fingertips!
Service was ok as our ice water were being refilled regularly and used plates and utensils were cleared off fast.Value for money for the buffet? Yes, provided you are an ice cream lover with a sweet tooth! You will surely like it since you can try various types of ice cream and desserts! However, for me, I don't feel its value for money, since I can't really take in cold things (unless I go and use the special kind of tooth paste to bring down my teeth sensitivity) and even my friend who consumed that feedback that it would feel "very cold" after 2 scoops and having the desserts!
