Swenson does offers a wide range of western meals, and even local delights these days, but they are still better known for their ice cream menu. I went for their bbq half chicken this time round, and well, the food that came is slightly different from their menu. The chicken is still there no doubt, but the side dishes changes completely. I went for their bbq half chicken this time round, and well, the food that came is slightly different from their menu. The chicken is still there no doubt, but the side dishes changes completely. Though i understand that is not the main part of the dish, i would appreciate if they would let me know in advance. I wanted my corn. The bbq sauce was fine, not too heavy in taste and rather easy to get used to. I am not good with my fork and knife, so the dish became slightly messy after a while.
Had the sticky chewy chocolate ice cream afterwards. The great part of being a student is that there is student promotion during weekdays, 2 ice cream for 9.80 which is very worth it.
The waitress there are not attentive though, i had to order the ice cream three times before they finally remember to take my orders. I felt slightly irritated at the service after a while. The table next to us broke a cup and fragments of the glass flew over to my table area. We told the waitress but they never bother to clean up our area, just the other table.
