A fish taiyaki costs at least $1.60 now. The red bean flavoured taiyaki which I got costs $1.60. As I ate it only this morning, I had it heated up slightly in the toaster and it is as good as freshly made as the exterior is crispy. The red bean filling is quite substantial and the filling is rather sweet as well. The filling is not entirely smooth like a paste, but rather it is a mixture of mashed red beans where there is still some visible red bean bits which are not entirely blended. The taiyaki is quite filling, I ate one for breakfast and it kept me satisfied until lunchtime.
