Before the vast availability of Western eateries in Singapore were popular dining spots like Jack's Place, Han's and The Ship. More than three decades ago, three seamen had a vision of encapsulating their seaman experience in an eatery and that was how The Ship started. After many years of operation, the baton is passed down to the next generation.
As the name suggest, The Ship serves mainly Western styled Starters, Seafood, US Beef Steaks and desserts. Chinese grub such as Sliced Fish noodles are available along side too.
Our orders were the Lobster Special (with grilled lamb) and Christmas Eve Set Dinner (with roasted beef prime ribs).
Offered at such pricing, I expected better food quality and presentation, but only with disappointment.
Thankfully my disappointment uplifted by our dessert - Sticky Date Pudding.
If you are intending to visit The Ship, do look out for their occasional promotions as well. Likewise, do check out the outlet at NEX as student meals are available too.
