Tucked at a cosy corner on Level 4 of Tangs Orchard, this cafe is set to wow tourists with Singapore's local food. But it sure WOW-ed a local like me as well!Crab Bisque ($6): This soup comes with a normal garlic bread. Crab Bisque ($6): This soup comes with a normal garlic bread. It has a few ingredients, but savoury on the overall.
Prawn & Crabmeat 'Roti John' ($12): As much as I love roti john, this dish doesn't live up to my expectations. There wasn't the slighest hint of seafood and it just has the taste of egg fried with bread, not salty and quite plain. However, it is saved by the sweet chilli sauce that accompanies it.
Indonesian Fried Rice ($14): The best dish of all! A selection of spicy chicken, crunchy crackers, egg slices and achar mixed in one dish. I can savour the individual rice grains, each flavoured with a rich taste and the aroma just burst out in my mouth as I chew it. Shiok!
Brownie Delight ($8): Your average ice-cream brownie with slices of banana and drenched in chocolate sauce. The brownie is slightly warm and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. I wished there were hot chocolate sauce oozing out of the brownie with chunks of chocolate to bite into.
Overall, I would still recommend to eat here because of its ambience and other local dishes worth trying.
