Ambience at De'Pop Culture Cafe pays tribute to popular culture. Pop art decor adorn the walls, such as stencils of comic strips like Dilbert and Calvin And Hobbes, a collage of pop culture quotes from iconic movie characters, and even Andy Warhol inspired posters.

Service at De'Pop Culture Cafe is provided by lady boss Adeline and her partner, with the only other staff present being the chef in the kitchen. They're friendly and engaging, more than willing to recommend items on the menu, being knowledgable on the makings of each dish.

Food at De'Pop Culture Cafe includes mainly all day breakfast items, and a selection of desserts. In general, I find their all day breakfast dishes to be decent, with good taste, their strongest component being the scrambled eggs. De'Pop Culture Cafe is more well known for their variety of desserts, mostly American / Italian style desserts, most of which are delicious!

Portions sizes for their main dishes / all day breakfast items are large for 1 person, and are quite filling. Their desserts are also nicely sized, and are suitable for sharing. I find prices here to be reasonable, about the same as most other cafes, budget about SGD $25 or more per person for a meal here. Of particular note is their batter for frying, and their sauces used for dressing are all made in house.

A good rendition of Truffle Fries (SGD $7.90), with thick cut chips that have a nice, natural taste of potatoes. The truffle is earthy and fragrant, not too overpowering, and I like that the shavings of cheese is generous.

The huge portion of De'Pop Breakfast Platter For 2 (SGD $28.90) is served on a lazy susan, and is extremely filling! The heavenly creamy scrambled eggs are present, along with perfectly grilled, meaty pork bratwurst sausages, crisp streaky bacon, warm baked beans, and toasted brioche bread. The garden salad was decent, but the highlight is the house made sesame sauce drizzled over it, tangy, savoury, and slightly sweet all at once! The sauteed mushrooms were again, a little too firm for my liking, but the crisp hash brown / tater tots were very addictive!

The unique chef creation, Crab And The Dog (SGD $15.90), features thick meaty, juicy, Italian pork sausage, in a buttered, toasted American hot dog bun, with Singapore style spicy chili crab sambal sauce drizzled over the top. This fusion dish is an explosion of savoury, spicy flavour, hitting all the right notes of taste. Memorable, highly recommended!

I think the Waffles Caramel (SGD $11.50) was the best dessert I had here! The texture of the waffle is perfect, crisp outside, fluffy and soft inside, warm, with a delicious taste of the buttermilk batter. So good you can eat it by itself! But the addition of sweet caramel sauce, crunchy granola bits, and a smooth salted caramel ice cream, made this a winner. So addictive you can't stop! Highly recommended!

The Raspberry Panna Cotta (SGD $6.90) features a glaze of raspberry sauce mixed with red wine, giving it a unique sweet, sour, and tart flavour. The actual panna cotta has a tasty, milky flavour, though the texture is slighlty soft, more liquid than it should be. The correct texture should be more firm, while still retaining the signature wobble. Still, it's a good dessert!
