I know i know.. the restaurant is very very well-known for their roast duck, and I know my friend would have loved loved loved to order it but thanks for him being very accomodating that I don't really like to eat duck, we ordered chicken instead. I picked the claypot chicken which was a very good pick! A bit gungbao style and the slightly spicy, sweet and salty sauce left me picking the leftover onion and ginger at the bottom of the dish. Heh. The other dish was a very nice pick from my friend-- Stir fried lotus root with macadamia nuts. SOunds very funky huh? its really a unique dish, light in flavour but gave a very wonderful texture. You can imagine the different texture from the lotus roots, macadamia nuts, chestnuts and sweet green peas. I also wanted a soup and the soup of the day was Sichuan veg soup. Light and tasty without the soup being too salty if the preserved veg wasn't handled properly.

Overall I would say the only thing that i could complain about was they probably used alot of cornstartch and oil in the dishes to give it that shiny sheen you see in the picture. Even the healthy dish like the lotus roots dish was a bit oily for me. Other than that, this is definitely a place i would gladly come back to as they have such a variety of food!
