Located at the same row as the famous fish soup bee hoon is this Hainanese curry rice that has been here for quite a while.The queue ona Sunday morning 11am is longer than the tian tian chicken rice stall queue. It's madness, the staff are working as fast as they can but it's quite a small shop so having all 4 of them working like an octopus, is quite hard.We got two packets of curry rice with pork chops and veggies with the second packet having an extra pork chop, total damage was only $6.90. The queue ona Sunday morning 11am is longer than the tian tian chicken rice stall queue. It's madness, the staff are working as fast as they can but it's quite a small shop so having all 4 of them working like an octopus, is quite hard.
We got two packets of curry rice with pork chops and veggies with the second packet having an extra pork chop, total damage was only $6.90. Very reasonable! The minimum cost is $3 per packet. I love the curry sauce, it is not too spicy as I don't normally take spicy and the pork chop is so crispy and yet not oily! The veggies have tang hoon in there and though oily, is very tasty to eat.
I come here at least once a month and it is always a worth while to queue! The pork chop is just so yummy! So is their fried shrimp but it's more expensive. Do note however that this queue never ends! So regardless of what time you come, just be prepared to starve and wait in line for at least 20 minutes!
