Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak
2012-04-04
I went for morning breakfast today at 9am. I ordered nasi lemak. After a few bites, i felt that the chili was too sweet for me. The rice portion is smaller compared to many food courts in singapore. The chicken wing taste good, very crispy and tender. The rice is very fragrant and taste very good. I would suggest to the cook, to cut down its coconut milk and MSG as I felt it was abit too much for the rice. Its good to vist this shop one in a while, but dining there every time is not a good idea, due to heath reasons.…Read More

Singapore Zam Zam
2012-04-03
I went to zam zam restaurant yesterday for dinner. As i went into the restaurant, I was ushered quickly to their level 2 siting area. The waiter brought in the menu, I declined it as I knew their menu every well. I ordered a murtabak ,briyani and 2 teh tarik, 10 mins later the both dishes and the drinks arrived. I felt that the curry given for the murtabak and the briyani was cold and tasted abit salty. The murtabak was overall good as it was crispy and abit chewy. The briyani rice was abit oily, but I guess it is fine. No music was being played in the restaurant, I felt irritated, as people as people surrounding me were all talking and laughing. That disturbed ,my mood for dinner. After my meal, the bill was brought by the waiter. The bill was well itemize, as I know what i am paying for. I went to the cashier to pay up and I left the restaurant. …Read More

Gayatri Restaurant
2012-03-30
I went to gayatri restaurant at 3pm for a late lunch. I ordered 2 fish briyani and 1 chicken briyani. I also ordered 1 masala tea and 2 normal tea. Th waitress confuse herself with all the order and brought me 3 chicken briyani and 3 normal tea. It took me some time to resolve the matter with the waitress and her manager. The food was ok, I would say from my experience nothing too special to mention about the food. What I like most which motivates me to patronize the restaurant in the cozy environment. The decor is beautiful and the open kitchen concept in something special within indian restaurants. …Read More

I ordered Lemon chicken and 2 butter nanns, it took them almost 45 minutes to serve the food, after 2 reminders from me. The 45 minutes wait was worth, as the food was served warm and looked appetizing. The nann was soft and warm. The atmosphere was cosy and light Indian music was being played. …Read More

Tambuah Mas
Tambuah Mas
2012-01-14
Ikan Pepes,Spice marinated seabass fillet, enveloped in banana leaves and grilled. The Ikan Pepes is a must order whenever I patronize Tambuah Mas! This is really good. You get well proportioned chunks of fish meat and not just the paste (at some restaurants) and it’s really flavorful.Satay Ayam / Kambing/ Sapi Skewered chicken / lamb / beef chunks, charred over open flame, Served with onions and cucumbers and our homemade peanut sauce (Half Dozen)Perhaps, the Satay at Tambuah Mas is not as cheap as the stalls at Lau Pa Sat, but the version here is definitely worth every penny! The satay here is not presented with small portions or fatty, cheaper cuts of meat that are now associated with the versions sold elsewhere. Of course, that said, with increased competition and rising costs (both of ingredients and of commercial reasons), I can completely understand the cost-cutting measures.…Read More
