thai green curry
Thai Cuisine - Sultan's Kitchen
2011-04-01
I love thai green curry more than the usual curry we eat as it is very exotic, both the colour and the taste. It is more to the sweet side with rich coconut milk. This green curry here is very rich and pretty sweet, however it would be better if they add in more meat as the meat portion was quite little. And the green pea that they added in, was quite hard too, not cooked soft enough.I ended up drinking finish the curry gravy as its exotically nice , preferred it more than the meat.…Read More

breakfast
McDonald's
2011-03-31
Egg mcmuffin burger is one of my favourite breakfast delight. It is more expensive now to order via phone at delivery is $3.50 , if you order online it is still $3.The burger somehow seem to have shrunk in size, but the taste is still good.I love the slightly chewy toasted burger, not the usual light fluffy ones,I ordered their breakfast meal and it comes with a hashbrown and iced milo.…Read More

$2.50 rojak
Xin Guan Rojak
2011-03-31
This rojak cost me $2.50 and i waited for about 10 minutes during lunch time.It is special that they topped sliced veggies on top of the rojak after sprinking chopped peanuts,It would taste alot better with a nicer crunch if they add in more chopped peanuts. The rojak was a bit dry, they could do better with more sauce.Youtiao is nicely toasted and taste good.…Read More

fried carrot cake
Hand Made Dim Sum - Koufu
2011-03-31
This carrot cake cost about $1 per piece.Portion wise is ok for $1.Although it looks abit oily and theres abit of charred parts, but remove away the charred parts, this carrot cake is actually very nice. There are pieces of meat and sausages in the carrot cake. This is a nice carrot cake for tea or breakfast if you dont mind the slight oiliness.…Read More

big portion rice
Chang Cheng Chinese Mixed Vegetable Rice
2011-03-31
I ordered only 2 dishes for this economic rice as they really gave me a big serving.I ordered fried kangkong and and fried fish fillet. The kangkong is big portion but it is overdone, the kangkong tasted a bit bitter. The fish fillet itself is good. The fish tasted fresh and tender, and portion is quite big piece.Overall, it may have been a better meal if i order some other veggies instead of the kangkong.…Read More

claypot noodle
Ubin Seafood Kitchen
2011-03-31
The nice pot of sizzling noodles really makes me drool upon being served to me.The noodles and sauce were filled to the brim, and they were generous with the serving.Waiting time was only about 10 minutes after ordering. The sunny egg yolk added a nice colour to the blackish based dish.Although the colour looks dark , it actually tasted quite nice.I enjoy slurping the gravy sauce more than the noodles itself.…Read More

sesame chicken
Madame Low Restaurant
2011-03-31
I ordered their sesame chicken strips for takeaway as dinner snacks after having a bowl of noodles there. The sesame chicken strips comes in quite a big portion and they are nicely fried. They are not oily at all, and the sesme really enhance the aroma of the chicken meat. The chicken meat strips are tender and not drying nor tough at all.I like what i have bought and i will go back there next time.…Read More

fried noodle
Good Year Seafood
2011-03-31
My dinner was a packet of fried noodle that cost about $4.Portion wise, it is good enough for me to fill full.Waiting time is about 10 minutes as it was dinner time and there was quite alot of people at the stall.Although the noodles are abit oily, but they still taste wholesomely good.I love the egg pieces and fishcake too. They could have been more generous with the veggies servings as i dont get quite alot of green veggies which are my favourite.…Read More

spare ribs king rice
Heng Hua Restaurant
2011-03-31
I ordered spare ribs king rice (not sure if this is the correct name), it was $4.50 for a good portion with big pieces of well marinated meat and some pieces of pickled vegetables that are quite sour, it is exotic to pair the pickled veggies with the sweet spare ribs. The spare ribs is not tough at all ,and it is tender and smooth textured.I will bring my family here next time round to try other dishes as all seems good.…Read More

rojak
Xiang Zhi Xiang Rojak - Eating House 815
2011-03-31
I ordered a $2 portion rojak and requested for only cucumbers and youtiao.Portion is good for only $2.The youtiao wasn't toasted and they were abit soggy. The cucumbers were sliced quite thinly too, i would enjoy it better if they cut it in bigger chunks so it is more crunchy. The rojak paste is nice and sweet , and they sprinkled a generous amount of chopped peanuts.…Read More

kway tiao noodle
Corner Delights
2011-03-31
I packeted kway teow noodle for lunch and added in a piece of hashbrown and fried tofu.i paid for about $2.20 for this packet.Portion is big, but it was too oily for me.The hashbrown was already soggy, how nice it would taste if it is still hot.The piece of tofu is big but abit bland, it would taste better if i eat with chilli or ketchup.I would order their beehoon next time round as the noodle and kway teow is too oily for me,doent taste too healthy.…Read More

pandan chicken
Bayang Indo Bar & Restaurant
2011-03-31
I love Indonesian food for their rich flavours.I have not had pandan chicke for a long time and decided to order to try.Mine, i was blown off by the soft moist chicken that has absorbed the fragrance of the pandan leaves, leaving a sweet pandan aftertaste in my mouth after eating. The pandan chicken goes very well with the thai chilli sauce dip provided. The chilli sauce is on the sweet side and not too spicy, i really like this dish alot but price is abit expensive for only 4 pieces it cost more than $10. …Read More

roti prata
Vege Delights
2011-03-31
Roti pratas are one of my favourite snacks for breakfast and tea.Nowadays they have many new flavours, they add in eggs ,onions , crabsticks, tuna, chicken, sausages and even bananas.I prefer the usual plain ones and of course egg ones.Plain ones cost about $1.50 for 2 pieces and egg one cost about $1.20 each.I like the plain prata here as it is crispy even though u ordered takeaway home to eat.The curry gravy is delicious, although the prata itself is nice enough to eat on its own.…Read More
