Twoface pizza & Taproom
Twoface Pizza & Taproom
2013-11-05
Twoface pizza is actually a cafe made from the traditional coffee shop and revamped to be a vintage cool place for dinner at night. From far, I could hear the english oldies played soothingly and spotted a few caucasians having casual dinner and beer. The staff there were very friendly and approachable, and recommended a few popular items on their menu. We had the meats lover and the smoked duck pizza, oh man they were good. I had agolio but it was rather oily. My favourite dish was in fact, the buffalo wings. Would definitely bring my friends down for a chillax dinner there again!…Read More

Captain's Table
Captain's Table
2013-11-05
Captain's table is a restaurant that is located at Raffles Marina Tuas. My dad introduced this place to us and it has always been our hangout place for birthdays and celebrations. The staff there are very amiable and also the environment was very homely. Sometimes they have the promotion if you spend $50 and above, you get 4 dishes free. Our table always has 8 dishes on lazy susan and we were always so full from the food! I love their cheesy black pepper beef and also their popular coffee spare ribs. They're also very generous with their portion as well. I would recommend the best way to visit this place is to travel by car because it is located quite far off in the Tuas area. …Read More

Good and affordable french food in the right portion size. I ordered the duck confit alongside with sides (shrimp pasta and smoked salmon). The staff were also very approachable and friendly while seeking information of the main dishes. However, the waiting time for the food was quite long because there were many people during dinner time. I will definitely go back again for the food!(: thumbs up …Read More

Eighteen Chefs
Eighteen Chefs NUS
2013-11-04
Eighteen chefs is easily spotted on the 4th level of Cineleisure, and of course you can definitely see the queue once you step out of the lift. After queuing for almost 30 mins, we headed inside and got our seats. I was quite surprise we had to queue again for the food as it was sort of 'self service' style instead of having the waiter coming to order from your table. Despite all that, the food was very satisfying and I was rather surprised yet pleased. I had the mussels agolio and my friend had the customised baked rice. We were both very please with our main course and the prices are very affordable. I had the black beauty for dessert and I really enjoy it alot. One of my recommended - 'must visit' restaurants! PS: try to go during the early lunch timings for weekdays if you wanna avoid the long queue. …Read More

The Marmalade Pantry
The Marmalade Pantry
2013-11-04
Dinner @ Marmalade Pantry! The service was rather good and the portion size of the pasta was just right. I had the crab pasta but it was abit salty though, I really enjoy the desserts especially the Marmalade Pantry's very own carrot cake. Will definitely pop by for dinner again with my friends. Slightly pricey but I think the service and the food is worth the price! …Read More

Wild wild honey
Wild Honey
2013-11-04
Previously I've tried the Wild honey located at Mandarin Gallery, I really dislike the service there. Comparing the one at Scotts, the service was so much better and the food was served pretty fast within a span of 10 mins after we ordered. I had the tunisian and my friend had the Norwegian for brunch. I pretty much like the food and the whole ambience and the serving was huge. I couldnt finish it. …Read More

Saizeriyaaaaaaaaa
Saizeriya
2013-11-03
Definitely one of the restaurants that I will always go back to! Saizeriya serves very affordable italian food and they have their restaurants around Singapore. Even though the portion size is not alot, I would always order a few dishes to share with my family or friends. My personal favourite dishes are the salmon pizza, salmon baked rice, agolio olio and of course the escargots. I like the escargots buttery and not too much garlic and the ones in Saizeriya fits exactly what I want. …Read More

The Tiramisu Hero
The Tiramisu Hero
2013-11-01
This cafe is easily spotted in the midst of the Jalan Besar area just behind Jalan Besar Stadium. From afar, it looks really classy and comfortable and there are even rocking chairs outside for chilling. I ordered the famous Tiramisu in the jar & also the lava cake. Oh well, the tiramisu was slightly disappointing but the lava cake was good. Maybe I should order not the original tiramisu next time. They have a really cute panda head for customers to take photo and the overall the service was good(:…Read More

Kith Cafe
Kith
2013-10-28
Went to Kith Cafe for celebration on a weekend brunch, we waited an hour plus for our food and the staff even forgot our order. We already had 3 cups of water....... which made us abit full even before the food came. I had big breakfast and my friends ordered pasta and the salad. We were satisfied with the food even though the service was rather disappointing. I' would definitely go back again for the food but hopefully the service will be improved! …Read More

Table Manners
Table Manners
2013-10-28
Table Manners is a gastro-bar hidden in a corner of Changi City Point. It serves generous serving and also the prices are quite affordable. I tried the agolio olio, and it was one of the best ones I ever had i would say. I tried my friends' steak, pastas and also we ordered some dishes to share - cheese mussels, fried mushroom fritters and also the spicy wings. Savoury items was so-so but I would recommend chocolate cake. …Read More

Drips Bakery
Drips Bakery Cafe

Quiet but cozy cafe at the very end of Tiong Barhu cafe stretch. Friendly staff, affordable food. I had the salmon with roasted potatoes but the salmon was quite dry and I did not manage to finish it. I would strongly recommend the fries, they taste quite different from the typical potato fries as there's sweetness in the potatoes that they use. Overall the ambience and the service was ok(:…Read More

Windowsill Piesssssss
Windowsill Pies
2013-10-27
Windowsill has a very homely and the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed by the staff and also I really like the ambience alot. The staff at the counter briefing gave us some information of the pies and also the different/more popular pies too. We ordered the Strawberry Lemon, which feels very tangy and refreshing with a zest of lemon taste, and also the Grasshopper Pie. Grasshopper pie was inspired by a classic cocktail and those addictive after-eights. It has a yummy chocolate flourless cake base topped with a crazy fresh mint cream. I'm not really a 'minty' person but I really like this pie a lot. The pasta that we ordered tasted very different from the normal pastas that we get, and also try the teas there! …Read More

Poulet @ Bugis Plus
Poulet - Bugis+
2013-10-27
A very affordable french restaurant that serves portions that are just right. Main dishes that was ordered - Braised duck leg, Poulet Chicken, truffle fries, escargots. Escargots was the only disappointing dish. I would say that i'll definitely visit Poulet again because both the food and the service was good. Overall it was a really good experience at the restaurant. …Read More

Platypus Test Kitchen
Platypus Test Kitchen
2013-10-27
It wasnt really hard to find this place even though it's located all the way at the end of level 2 of Clifford Centre. Quite noisy because of the echoes and noises perhaps due to the location of the cafe flooded with OLs and all the people working around that area. I ordered squid ink scallop, but was brought to disappointment because it wasnt the 'real' squid ink pasta. The sauce wasnt black at all. I would recommend the agolio olio because it was the right type that I like, a little moist but not to strong with the spieces. …Read More

Necessary Provisions!
Necessary Provisions
2013-10-18
The location of Necessary Provisions is rather hard to find, and there is only one bus (173) that goes to Eng Kong Terrace area. It is all the way at the far corner amongst the shop houses, spot the vintage small bicycle just outside the cafe and there you go!The coffee is definitely worth you making a trip there. They have different sizes and what's good is that the prices are the same! I had a cappuccino and it was really good. The sandwhiches come in the right portions and get a strawberry cake along to complete your brunch. Must try: Savory scones @ only $5 for 4 pieces - the scones have a very unique taste compared to the other scones I had before. thumbs up! The staff there are rather friendly but the food waiting time was rather long even thou there wasnt alot of customers in the cafe. …Read More
