When i'm hungry
YAYOI
2013-08-21
I dont know about you. But for me, when I'm hungry, I always crave for some Japanese food!!! Because they always look so yummylicious especially those food displays outside their glass windows. They just made you drool even more when you're soo famished. So.. I chanced upon this restaurant while I was urgently wanting to get some food and just right my craving was Japanese food! And this is what i ordered~ I forgot the name of this dish. But it was pork cutlet drizzled with a very special type of sauce which I've never tried before. A sweet kind of sauce. The pork cutlet is just nice, not too soggy and not too hard. I love the egg and potatoes as well! All in all, the food was good! (Or maybe i was just too hungry) Oh, and i forgot to mention, you ordered food there with something like iPad. I think that makes everything easier. Kudos to technology. Look at the pork cutlet, aren't you craving for some now? …Read More

Those pretty ice-cream
Magnum Singapore Pleasure Store
2013-08-21
I'm pretty sure everyone knows about Magnum. But have you heard of the Magnum Singapore Pleasure Store?! Yes, Magnum actually has a "cafe" (sorta) in Singapore!! Are you excited now? *scream* But this cafe will only be in Clarke Quay until 26th August before it shifts to a new location. I'm not too sure about the next location, but you can always check it out at their Facebook page for updates! https://www.facebook.com/MagnumSingaporeWhen I first get to know about this Magnum Pleasure Store on Instagram, I get so excited over the ideas that you can actually customized your very own ice-cream! And from the pictures I saw, they all looked so pretty!!! You know i have a soft spot for pretty things, so i decided to go down the store in the next few days! And ta-dah! I get my very own pretty ice-cream as well! Isn't it so lovely, i couldn't bear to eat it. The steps to making your own ice-cream is very easy. You just need to choose 3 toppings out of the many (maybe this would be the hard part ;p). Next, you choose the coating of your ice-cream (dark chocolate, milk chocolate or white chocolate) and lastly, from the three choices of chocolate, you choose one to drizzle with. And there, you're done! A close-up of the toppings on my ice-cream. I have chosen chocolate hearts, rose petals and popping candy. I wouldnt say rose petal is nice to eat with since I feel like some kind of herbivores having grasses. But definitely with the rose petals, the ice-cream had a scent of flowery and it adds a very special touch to it since i've never tried before. And popping candy just reminds me of a childhood candy - the "footprint" lollipop where you dipped it into the packet and you get this "fireworks" feelings, you hear popping and cracking all over your head. Like you're in love, haha. The Magnum ice-cream is selling at 7bucks per stick. It may be a little expensive, but its definitely worth trying! …Read More

Soup in bread
espresSOUP
2013-01-25
This is really interesting, isnt it? Soup in a bread. The first thing that came to my mind when i chanced upon this was, I MUST TRY IT! There are a great variety of soups to choose from- tomato soup, pumpkin soup, mushroom soup, etc. I had the clam chowder. To me, it pretty much taste like mushroom soup (those creamy type), except without the mushrooms. So how do you start with the eating? Drink the soup in the bread first, and you can pinch off a little part of the 'bowl' and dipped it in the soup as you eat. If you like really soggy bread, you can pour in more soup from the jar. And you must be thinking, is this for tea-time or what? No, i had this for my lunch. And trust me, it was really filling! I almost couldnt finish the bread. Overall, i think it was good to try something new once in a while! #NTUDAC …Read More

I love Army Stew
Seoul Yummy
2013-01-25
Side dishes were not that bad. A pity though, that the traditional korean plates for side dishes could have been used and maybe that would help to whip up the appetite a little more, no? And the main dish arrived- Army stew!!! The moment it was served, i just couldn't wait to tuck in even though it was pipping hot! All my favourite food are inside, ddeokkbokki (korean spicy rice cakes), instant noodles, hot dogs, luncheon meat, tofu and the greens (except this, haha). The kimchi based soup was good too!! A little spicy but i guess its nothing to those who can take spicy. This servings, ($29.90) is just right for two girls to share. Next up, desserts time! I'm bad with remembering the name of dishes. But my friend had the green tea pudding with sea salted caramel ice cream. While i had the so called red bean soup with mochi inside. The red bean soup was quite sweet to me and i sort of think that its not quite worth the price since its just red bean soup with a few mochi in it. But the utensils used were pretty cute. Just look at the marshmallows. Maybe this is a girls' thing, but when food are served prettily, i wouldnt mind having anyway. My friend and I actually spent two hours there having our dinner. And we walked out happily, feeling so full. …Read More

Crepes!
Saybons
2013-01-21
Crepes for dinner! Well, you might think that's more for a snack during teatime or your desserts after a meal. But that's not so likely with Saybons, the French Food Factory. The crepes are not only delicious but also filling. There are a wide variety of choices and I'm sure everyone could find something of their likings. I chose the crepes with ham, eggs and mushroom and I totally love it. What's more, you can top up another $4.80 for a bowl of soup (there are many different types of soup to choose from too!) and side dish ( choose from: garlic bread, potato chips, lemon tea or banana). I think the food are really good and affordable. Now, i'm craving for more crepes! #NTUDAC…Read More
