This is a small stall selling pancake.
3 pancake for $2.
This kind of pancake is the traditional style one.

The peanut one is the most original one.
It taste really like the malaysia one.

This is the first time i see the filling is the orange coconut.
It taste nice too.

This red bean one also not bad.But if they add more red bean inside, it will be better.

Nice pancake just as its name pancake king.

Lovely Dinner. Smile Jun 05, 2013

I have fallen in love with this new found tze cha place a stone's throw away from home. They have been featured in a food programme on TV once and reported by a food writer on the newspaper not too long ago.

I went for a late dinner at about 9 pm. There were still quite a few tables occupied at that hour. I went to the counter to take a copy of their menu then proceed to find a table. The friendly Auntie came over in a bit to take the order. I decided to go with Sweet & Sour Pork at $9 and the Blackcurrant Pork Ribs at $10. The plain rice is served at 0.50 cents per plate.
Sweet & Sour Pork - $9.

Sweet & Sour Pork - $9.

The Sweet & Sour Pork came first. The pieces of pork were presented in the bite-sized then stir-fried with sweet & sour sauce together with ingredients like the green pepper, red pepper, onion and pineapple. The sweet & sour taste was lovely. It has got a pretty well-balanced taste of sweetness and sourness. The pork tasted rather crispy on the outside but still retained its tenderness within. This was definitely one of the better Sweet & Sour Pork that i ever tasted. I enjoyed it so much.
Blackcurrant Pork Ribs - $10.

Blackcurrant Pork Ribs - $10.

The blackcurrant pork ribs is another dish worth recommending. This is the first time i came across this dish and it got me to wonder how is the taste like so i ordered it out of curiousity. The taste is not disappointing though the blackcurrant taste is not too distinctive. The well-seasoned pork ribs were fried to perfection to give it the noticeably crispiness without compromising on its texture. The pork ribs were not too meaty though.
The Stall.

The Stall.

I will certainly come back to try their signature dishes soon.

Great Seafood & Good Value Dinner Smile Feb 08, 2015

See my full reviews & photos at = http://chefquak.com/2015/02/08/great-seafood-good-value-dinner-kamjiazhuang-甘家庄-on-7feb2015/
daughter has become the family’s resident food convenor, sourcing out nice, happening makan & coffee places.

this evening she again organised an excellent seafood dinner at kamjiazhuang 甘家庄, located at blk 202 AMK ave3. it is located at a coffeeshop. we had a reservation. the place was quite crowded.

we ordered a fish maw soup small. the colour did not look great, but the soup was in fact very tasty.^^

we asked for popular & recommended dishes. 东坡肉 braised pork belly was one, and it was done pretty well, very good standards – very tender, moist and w/o the oily taste (肥而不腻).

the pumpkin prawns was good, a slight variation/departure from the usual wasabi prawns. they were same deep-fried but coated with the pumpkin sauce (felt like it had salted egg in it but could not be certain).

the conpoy tofu was good too, very tasty, certainly better than the minced pork tofu we had recently at kok sen on 21.12.2014. & the S$60 crab beehoon – just look at the above photos c/w those at seng kee recently.

the crab was huge 1.1-12kg, bigger than the one at seng kee (S$70). the crab was also sweeter & firmer than seng kee’s. however, somehow i was still not fully satisfied with the beehoon. yes, this was much better than seng kee and about same as ming kee live seafood. in my memory though (& maybe that was just a memory!) house of steamed fish was much better, tastier, but really cannot tell now.

daughter wanted to try their butter squid with pork floss. batter was good & squid was not tough. at first bite it was quite crunchy & tasty but i agreed with my wife that the taste was too sweet, perhaps it was the pork floss, couldn’t really tell.

overall, we paid S$124 for 6 dishes including a S$60 crab beehoon with a very good & large crab. for me, that was a very good dinner.

Decided to go for this tze char stall to celebrate mother's day.
My mum saw reviews of this stall on the Chinese papers.
Coincidentally, yesterday, my dad saw a review on the Sunday Times of this stall too!
Must be really good to receive so many media coverages la - and really, it did not disappoint (sadly, my stomach did).

Did a google search and told my parents that the Pumpkin Prawns and Dongpo Rou are highly voted.
I really love the pumpkin prawns!

Ordered 6 dishes in total!
Total damage was only $110 smile

A friend recommended this stall so i went to try. Ordered their signature pork ribs and sweet & sour pork with rice. The pork ribs got a sweet taste but the meat very little. I like the sweet & sour pork more. It was crispy with nice tomato sauce taste and good to eat with rice. The price is cheap and the taste is good. The service is quick. I will come back for dinner again.
