Yum Cha has become pretty much an integral part of leisure. Few activities come close to matching the relaxation and enjoyment supping over good dim sum and hot tea over a lazy morning/afternoon. My quest to find delicious dim sum (with the added criteria of not breaking the bank) brought be to Shi Wei Xian Hong Kong Dim Sum. A stall nestled within a coffee shop in the qui...
this is the classic cheese cake that has been offered in store. Have been looking for sweet treats in this area after having bah kut teh @ ya di bah kut teh. So found this place, when we walked in, was told by e service staff that only ramen, desserts and beverage were available. After looking through the menu and wanted to order dessert, was told again that as the pastry chef is on leav...

When I first stepped into La Marelle, I thought a Candy Crush bomb exploded in it. Located on the second floor of a shophouse at Bagdhad Street (near Arab St), the bright airy cafe was adorned with colourful walls decorated with cloud and raindrops motifs, flowery paper lanterns, whimsical decorations and merchandise for sale. I went to La Marelle twice actually. The first t...

The owner, Mr Tan, is insisted on the traditional method of roasting 100% pure coffee and providing quality coffee beans to households and food and beverage establishments. Only just few months ago they decided on exploring the cafe c...

Armed with our groupon voucher of $5.90 for 2 scoops of Artisan Gelato from Alfero, we trooped down to their spanking new outlet at Orchard Gateway (otherwise known as the mall squeezed between Somerset 313 and Orchard Central. Hidden in the basement, Alfero is tucked amongst the many F&B options in Orchard Gateway and with its chic black interior, could have been eas...

I was lucky enough to get to dine here recently. Talking about location of the place, for drivers like me, its near the rear carpark (FOC!) facing the rugby field and you walk up the staircase near Omakase Burger and the entrance to the building itself. You will find it at the same floor as Ah Yat Restaurant. With seats overlooking the rugby field, this newly opened steam...

The spaghetti cooked with the chunky tomato sauce and served with a slice of juicy pan fried chicken breast. The spaghetti was perfectly cooekd and soaked up all the goodness from the tomato sauce. The downside was that the dish tasted slightly bland - few dashes of salt could solve the problem. The breast seem out of place (didnt really merge with the dish).

I think many Teochew food lovers would have heard of Ah Orh since it has been around since long time ago. I was introduced to this place by my uncle who found the dishes at Ah Orh authentic and good. There is one Ah Orh in Bukit Merah and one in Sin Ming. We went to the one in Sin Ming. One of the famous dishes in Ah Orh is the Teochew cold crabs. The crabs ar boiled...

I’m totally not exaggerating when I say that La Strada has one of the BEST Carbonara I’ve ever tried in Singapore. And most of the other dishes on their menu are equally good too. The price range is slightly higher than Jamie’s Italian, but the quality of food here is so much better, as you would expect from a restaurant under the Les Amis group.First up, the Risot...
Tried this restaurant for few times. Previously it was at Mohd Sultan and now shifted to 59 Kampong Road. I've read great reviews and also read some horrible things about this place. I will just attribute my visit as an unlucky one becuase I belonged to the terrible-experience group of people If you still want to give it a try since there are others who think its good, I have some tips to share on my blog on top of my review for this - http://teacoffeerain.wordpress.com/2014/07/13/...
Many ramen joints have been sprouting around the island. Most of them being in town, I was especially happy that a reputable ramen joint opened near my place of residence. Opened by the Breadtalk Group, which opened the Ramenplay chain of ramen restaurants, I was quite confident that Sanpoutei wouldn't disappoint. Bouyed by the fact that a queue is often seen at Sanpoutei, I knew...
