This is mycc living in Central. I work in Central. I like to hang out in Chinatown, Raffles Place, Orchard. Japanese, Singaporean, Multi-Cuisine are my favorite cuisines. I also love Hawker Centre, Bakery and Roasted Meat, Desserts and Cakes, Dim Sum.

Tucked quietly at an inconspicuous corner at East Coast Road, this was definitely a rare gem spotted. The owners of the ice cream parlour were friendly and took special efforts to strike up conversation with each and every customer, be it a walk-in like us or the regular patrons. The casual setting of the ice cream place with stools fit for adults and kids alike is surely a must-try sp...

Visited Violet Herbs, a Modern European restaurant. The first dish was Amuse Bouche of Beef Tender with Madiera sauce and fried saffron. It simply melts in your mouth. Next dish was Parsnip Velouté. The soup was thick and full flavour. The next dish of Truffle Foie Gras was delightful in the mouth.  We had Yuzu Sorbet to cleanse our palate. My favourit...

Start the weekend right with the new brunch menu offering at Procacci! Located at the Customs House, near Raffles Place, Procacci started serving Saturday brunch in May 2015, with various Italian-inspired plates of goodness. Choose between dining indoor in the posh atmosphere, or al fresco style right opposite the iconic Marina Bay Sands.Pollo Griglito ($20) Bacon...

Latte Cry
Coffee was bitter and slightly acidic. I think it's not very good and probably over-extracted. The only thing that's interesting is that it's served in a old school coffeeshop mug instead of your typical tall latte glass. But really, I prefer McCafe over this anytime.

Today limbeh is introducing a new place for brunch in the CBD. Harry's bar, better known for its bar grubs and alcohol, has recently launched their breakfast and brunch menu (available from 8am to 10.30am daily). This is definitely good news for office workers who might want a switch from their usual kaya toasts and soft-boiled eggs at nearby kopitiams. If that is not a good reason ...

On a hot morning, was invited by Openrice editor for a brunch breakfast. There were eight of us and the above was the brunch menu. The view was fantastic and the staff were friendly and made us felt at home. Drinks were served promptly without asking for attention. The breeze with the smell of Singapore River was fantastic. This is my earl grey tea and Pineapple drink. It was so ...

Sometimes, I come across something so good, that every bite felt soul shining and that I momentarily lose myself in my food. Lunch at Sumiya Charcoal Grill Izakaya @ Orchard Central is just that and perhaps abit more. Hidden in a little loft at Orchard Central, this gem of a restaurant is one of Orchard’s best kept secret that I almost didn’t feel like sharing.Sumiya is offer...

Harry’s recently launched their breakfast menu. More known for their bar grub and drinks , the good folks at Harrys are expanding their repertoire to focus more on their food menu and their breakfast menu is one of their new offerings . Taking into account their strategic location near the Central Business District (CBD) , the breakfast menu is aimed at the discerning office execut...

Before we begin, please remember that it is extremely excruciating for me to contain my extraordinary exuberance, especially in face of the expansive extent of excellent egg puns available whenever brunch is served. Therefore, do not be shell-shocked at the lack of pre-embryonic yolks (oops, I really meant jokes) as this review progresses. Let’s get crackin’, baby! Thanks to the lovel...

Hello foodies ! Some familiar brand, yet not familiar food in the store. In the MBS outlet, there are some main dishes, which include squid ink pasta ! Let's go ! I ate squid ink pasta (about $26++) for the second time, and I have to say that this is rather a little disappointing, as I would expect the squid ink taste to be a little stronger, rather than having quite a sweet ...

Do.Main Bakery, a french bakery by Chef Frederick Deshayes who was the former Head of Pastry in Sunrice Globalchef Academy. The first dish was the Charcuterie platter which consisted of duck n pistachio pate, pork rillette & kurobuta ham. Sourdough bread was provided to complete the whole dish. Liked the pork rillette and ham for its moistness and tenderness. The pate was ...

It was our second time there last night. Service is consistent good and food is excellent and good value for the price. A little personalized service was always nice. When we ordered our food, we told the chef who took our order that we would be sharing everything. Our pasta came split into 2 already, so we dont have to worry it. We had a chance to have a quick chat with the chef. We lear...

I wanted to have porridge for lunch, and stumbled upon this stall (no other stalls selling porridge  sad ). Usually, I'm not a fan of this type of porridge, where the rice grains are still intact. I like the smooth ones in authentic porridge stalls.   Still, my fix is needed, so I went ahead with my order.  As you can see from the photo, there is ALOT of soup. Perhaps this di...

Authentic taste of American food. Even the portioning stands true to American sizes! Personally liked Little Italy's Killa' Lasagne. According to its owner, everything is made from scratch. Instad of bolognese sauce in regular lagsane, this one is layered with tasty Beanless chili sauce. (The signature suace which is used in their hotdogs from The Mustard Incident.) Phi...

Having come here with high expectations we have to say we were slightly disappointed. Portions are HUGE and in that sense it's really value for money. However the starters were only decent ("Buffalo Wings" with no vinegar are totally NOT buffalo wings), and the ribs were a little overcooked. The sauce was delicious though!Jerry's is a nice place to come eat if you're i...
