My Little Tapas Bar is actually a sister outlet of My Little Spanish Place, a spanish restaurant at bukit timah area.  Their philosophy is based on the Spanish saying, "Mi Casa es Su Casa", which means "My House is Your House". The first Spanish restaurant to be helmed by two chefs with strong Spanish heritage – Maria Sevillano from Salamanca, Spain and Edw...

Llao Llao has been in Singapore for awhile and finally I got to try it just recently. Yes! Recently! This is because the queue at Llao Llao is always very long and so happened I am always rushing for meetings that I can't afford the time to queue till recently. Honestly, i think the Yogurt taste more like ice-cream. It does not have this typical yogurt taste. After my firs...

I was very fortunate to be invited to dinner at My Little Spanish Place by OpenRice. It was an exquisite, educational experience for me. This is the only place I know of in Singapore for genuine, fine Spanish cuisine. Our first dish was jamón with cheese and olives. We had finely cut slivers of two kinds of jamón: jamón ibérico (from the special breed of a black, ibérico...

We had our family lunch at Astons Resorts World Sentosa, which is located not far from USS. I love how Astons Specialities' restaurants look 'atas', I'm sure first-timers will get surprised that the food comes at such humble prices. Iced Lemon Tea - $2.30 I had finished 3/4 of this drink even before my meal was served, so I ordered another glass. Snapp...

The name Dian Xiao Er symbolizes a pit-stop. A place where people can to rest and replenish their energy full, a place where delectable dishes is served as well. The moment you step into any of their restaurant, you will feel a sense of warmth and surrounded by a tantalizing aroma. During this media invite, we were treated to their Chinese New Year specials. There were a few sets a...

This is our first time having Pepper Lunch in a food court. There is a promotion for double beef rice at $6.90 which we think is cheap. All the meals come with a bowl of miso soup as well. We must say that the miso soup is good & tasted similar like those japanese restaurant miso soup. The preparation of the beef rice is pretty simple. The staff just need to put rice into the preheated ...

Thanks to the great folks at Faber Peak Singapore, I won $100 Faber Peak dining voucher in their recent Facebook Valentine's Day contest! A brief background - Located at the top of the hill at Mount Faber, the premise was given a complete make over and transformed into a bright and colorful F&B joint. Spuds & Aprons (what a unique name!) brands itself...

Aston has been pretty establised since its arrival. I'm sure most people are familiar with their  concept where you choose the mains and 2 addition sides to make up a meal. My all time favourite is always teriyaki chicken with potato salad and coleslaw. This time round, i tried the mash potato instead. The sides have always been consistent yet the main has been consistenly saltier as time...

Fika is a social institution in Sweden; it means having a coffee with one’s colleagues, friends, date, or family. Take a break from work at Fika Swedish Café & Bistro where they serve the best halal meatballs in Singapore! (And they have an option for gluten free pasta too!) Owner / Graphic artist Tasneem Noor opened a Nordic cafe in 2009 when she was learning t...

Opening its 5th branch at the Chinatown Point, Song Fa Bak Kut Teh had made their cuisine easily access to the locals and even tourists. Public transport such as MRT and bus are just nearby and this location also draw office crowds too since CBD is just nearby. I had to rush to queue during my lunch break to avoid lunch crowd. Luck is on my side indeed as i manage to have m...

It is indeed a pleasurable and welcoming experience being invited to food tasting at one of the better known Dian Xiao Er Restaurants at Bishan. They have 10 outlets and each have similar but uniquely differing décor and ambience. I heard they would customize the dish to the customers based on what they learnt from them … This differentiates them from just any other restaurants like m...

The Silk at 3rd floor, SICC Upper Thomson. We came as a group of 4 and was served by a very friendly waiter, Jeff who gave us good recommendations. This is very juicy and does not break easily when picked up by chopsticks. This dish was a bit disappointing as the meat was not tender enough. They should either steam longer or choose a better quality meat. This is very tasty and cr...

This place specialise in Bingsu, a currently super popular dessert in South Korea. The dessert here is very authentic and is even better than what i had in Seoul. The most well-received dish is their Injeomi Bingsu (Sweet Rice Cake Bingsu) and i personally love their Butter Honey Toast. Price wise is to the higher side but i feel it's worth it. The location is really re...

There are lots of choices here. The set meal is very worth it as it comes with dessets and a side dish. Taste wise, the army stew is so so only, despite having chesse in the hot pot, which kinda makes the soup a bit sticky and thick. To me, it has too many flavours and none stand out. Really taste like rojiak. I prefer to have Chinese steamboat. The stewed pork is a real surprise thou...
