[Buttermilk Waffles - with smoked ham, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan S$14] - nothing to wow about. I would like to say their service is pretty bad. Had to repeat our orders a few times, no side plates, had to ask for utensils after our waffle is served, when we were served the waffle they asked if we want the ice cream by the side but the ice cream did not come?! 😰😰 that'...

went to long beach IMM for a simple lunch. Hence only order a lobster and a bowl of rice. You can have a choice of how you wanted cook the live lobster. I choose 金丝龙虾 ( with butter ) the lobster is very fresh and the meat is red and chewy. The crispy butter and egg stipes are very tasty , compliment the lobster very well. Furthermore, it is served very nicely presented. With an o...
This new Gyoza restaurant at the basement of the new Robinson mall serves up some really delicious Gyoza! Their menu is rather limited but just go for the Gyoza. I only tried the pan-fried version (they have boiled version as well) and I much prefer the pork gyoza over the veggie gyoza. The skin is thin, crispy and filled generously with good juicy meat. Dip it generously in vinega...
I ordered few types of pork and beef. Only beef are marinated and good. The pork was quite tasteless though. Kimchi, so so with few choices only. Service : good, helpful and friendly for most of the staff. Decor : so so. A bit old but acceptable. Price : unable to tell as not pay by me! This is my personal opinion. May be Korean BBQ is really not my cup of tea. Use...
Wimbly Lu, my second visit. Love this quaint little place tucked in the residential estates in Serangoon. Check out the fluffy white clouds look in the interior! This place is known for its desserts and ambiance This time round i ordered some different dishes from my first visit! First dish, Chicken & mushroom baked rice (SGD11). Verdict: Don't order this, quite ta...
1st thing that caught my eye inside this coffeeshop is the signage for all stalls comes since "since 19xx" and most of them is >20yrs above! I decided to try the duck rice, ordered a 1 person mixed set with extra side dish of chye buay. They serve plain rice instead of the yam rice. But glad they were generous with the sauce. My mixed set comes with the pork belly meat, tau kwa and duck...

Left: Aburi Salmon Roll $19.80 Right: Rainbow Roll $19.80 Kaz Jap Sushi has always been my favourite. Although they are a bit pricey, but the quality of their food is really commendable. Their sashimi rolls are really premium topped with fresh ingredients. They do takeaways too! Celine
Tucked in the cosy corner of changi airport terminal 1 is this tonkatsu restaurant. A personal favourite of mine. Free flow of salad, rice and miso soup!! Would never fail to order the katsudon, with the oozing yolk mixed with the rice. It is now their 'Oyster Fest', ie there are some set menu that came with oyster katsu. Succulent and juicy, and of course so fresh. Definite mu...

I was attracted by the crowd initially and sampled a few flavours before decided on the one. I had moscato. It was sweet and tasty with a faint taste of white grapes. I topped it off with mini marshmallows. The only frustrating part was that the cup was so small and the ice cream were overflowing. Probably they are trying to portray that the serving is huge . Oh well..

Lunch time at Novena Thomson. Saw this small outlet kisok at Goldhill square and also saw a long Q. So I decided to try it. Yes, the taste is almost the same you can find it at Katong. $4.50 for the small bowl. If you really like laksa and this small bowl is too small. Upsize it. The soup base has not mush of the coconut taste. Can say is healthly and the cockles they give is a ...

This is a place definitely worth it to visit even though it may be a challenge for many to find the venue. But any place that serves good food is worth that occasional taxi trip I guess. An open concept dining place, don't expect to have the air-con treatment but with the multiple huge fans all around, you will not feel the heat. The place is big enough for parties up the size of 150, so ...

Located on the second floor of Cluny Court is Relish by Wild Rocket! My friend and I came here for the Signature Blackball dessert that many have been telling us about. The layout of the dessert looks enticing but when we started eating it, we were disappointed by the quality of the sweet potato and yam balls. They are not as chewy as other brands that are available in Singapore. An only redeeming point is the quality of the pearls which are chewy and de...
I ordered the Golden Deal 1 which comes with 3 pieces of Chicken, fries and a cup of soft drink for about $5. I like that the fried skin of the chicken is crispy and not too thick, and the chicken in it tender and yummy. There isn't too much seasoning but I like it this way. The only thing disappointing is that they dot seem to give those fried crispy bits anymore. I also enjoy the...

Definitely one of the better California Roll I've tried altogether in town. Ichiban Sushi located at Toa Payoh HDB hub is like one of the only choices for dinner if you are looking for a restaurant after a long day at work. From a wide range of conveyor belt sushi to shashimi to udon and other Japanese food, this is the ideal place for dinner with love ones, they are just beside ...
