Breakfast doesn’t have to be fanciful or expensive. Upper Crust did a decent Full Breakfast with well-dressed green salad with balsamic vinaigrette, scrambled eggs sprinkled with black pepper, warm buttered toast, sausage and juicy tomatoes. All this was accompanied by a nice cup of cappuccino at the price of 7.80 SGD.

It was a last minute and impromptu dinner for me with the Openrice and 1 Rochester peeps at 1-TwentySix at East Coast. Before dinner commenced, the bar presented us with 7 cocktails named 'The 7 Desirable Sins'. 1-TwentySix takes pride in using only fresh fruits for the cocktails, shaking them into unique concoctions to satiate the senses. There was even 1 drink where th...
my friends and i decided to try the black pepper crabs after hearing raving reviews about it. the crabs were really good, though i felt it was a little too sweet for my liking. we had other dishes such as venison, kailan and fried you tiao. All were really decent, especially the venison. It was very tender and savory. However, the dining experience was a disaster. We arrived at the place at ar...
To be away from the usual standard fast food chicken rest (u know this one..), I would highly recommend Arnold’s fried chicken. The place though, at a very ‘ulu’ shopping centre down in Geylang, it is always super congested with crowds .. be it families.. couples or students. Each time im there, I never fail to have to wait. Even on weekdays, on a off peak time. B...
I wanted to try out all the milk tea around the area to find if there's any that is close enough to the taste you'll find in HK. Having tried a lot of milk teas that are too thin in texture, I was taught to order "kao", as in "concentrated" is their terms. My friend told me that usually in tea shops they would add water to their "concentrated tea base" when they prepare the d...
My first time dining in Ah Loy Thai and it definitely did not fail me. I ordered the pineapple fried rice which costs $5.90. I really enjoy the food and the rice was very fragrant and the portion was also huge, very much sufficient to keep my stomach filling. I like the ingredients such as prawns, raisins and chicken used to fried together with the rice. I will come back for more again.
RamenPlay Bishan, located near Bishan MRT Station, is a fine place for dining, with 2 levels of seating areas. The kitchen is located at the 1st level, and there are food lifts to transport the dishes to the 2nd level. I went there with my parents and grandma for dinner. This is a memorable dining moment for me because this is the first time that we are having dinner at a Japanese re...

An interesting twist to normal burgers, MOS Burger's Ebi Rice Burger has to be one of my favorite fast food burgers! The prawns are fresh and juicy and fried lightly in a batter. I love the crunch of the prawns which brought interesting textures to the burger! Not forgetting, the flavorful sauce which brought the entire burger to another level. The thick, chunky fries are c...

I came as a representative of The Local Nose to an Open Rice Tasty Union. The Local Nose is a wine reviewing website, where you can find information about wine events, where to get great valued wines, and about everything about wine in Singapore. I researched the restaurant menu before the outing, to decide what wine to bring, to find that it is a rotary hotpot restaurant (kind...
