We visited Pies & Coffee for their DBS 1-for-1 breakfast set promo and ordered a set of Hearty Brekkie and Smoked Salmon Stacked. Both breakfast sets come wither either a cup of orange juice or apple juice. Hearty Brekkie The set consisted of toasted Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, cheesy chicken sausage, and mesclun salad with homemade citrus dressing. My only gri...
Every time I'm at Marche, I would definitely order their Swiss Rosti, which is consistently good. The grated potatoes are slightly firm and not mushy, and the top layer is always nice and crisp. With a sprinkling of salt , this dish is simple but it never fails We also got the Parma Ham Pizza which was quite good too, consisting of parma ham, sliced tomatoes, arugula & c...
Decided to try the new korean restaurant Bibigo at Suntec city mall. On my friday afternoon, the restaurant is almost full with many office people around. The restaurant is not too smoky and spacious with sufficient seatings. We orered the Hotstone bibimbap and Spicy pork soup. Eager for the bibimbap, we were disappointed that it turned out less flavourful than we thought it would be...
Came here with friends for dinner on a weekday and my friend recommended the fried kway teow from this stall. From the look of the presentation, it seems quite tasty. After tasting, the kway teow is full of flavours both from the seasoning as well as the fragrance from the wok. Sufficient dark soy sauce, other seasoning is added and does not too salty. Other ingredients such as the bean ...
That's my 1st time going to Jpot... Knowing there's a set menu 1) Menu D, $68 for 2 pax comprising of:- (A) Soup (choice of 4 items) – We were each given our individual pots and we went with (clockwise, top left) fish head soup (additional $1), bak kut teh, JPOT superior broth and tom yum from the 9 flavours that were available. And all were pretty goo...
It seems like a soft serve craze now with so many cafes popping up every week. After my dinner at the recently opened one km mall, I happen to pop by this little cafe along the walkway outside the mall. There is a list of their Signature parfaits on the menu, about 8 different ones and you can also choose to DIY your own parfait! I decided to get one their Signatures which was the C...
so after a short hiatus, guess what's finally back on Artisty's menu! Peanut Butter and Jam French Toast One of the better french toast around, Artistry spreads peanut butter and jam between their brioche, and pan fries them to give a wonderful tasting dish. Topped with vanilla ice cream and recently crushed cookies, this sweet treat will give dessert lovers something to crave ab...
My favourite part about this was the Maguro, the deep red colour was beautiful and it was amazingly fresh. Tasted like the usual Salmon Aburi Maki but with added crunch from the lettuce. My favourite was the Shiro Maguro (pictured above). White albacore tuna is now my favourite fish to have raw. Tasted like heaven with every bite.I'm a big foie gras fan so this was superb for m...
In need of a quick dinner bc catching a 730pm m0vie 😛. 1st in Q, however still need to wait due to seats all occupied. Ordered a Ramen, Fried Rice & a Chicken Katsu for 2pax. Kanitama Ramen came first… Ramen texture is chewy, soup quite tasty but the essence of Kanitama Crabmeat & mushroom omelette was soaked into the soup. Wouldn't order this again. Would order t...
Aroy Mak Mookata located at Macpherson Road, eastern part of Singapore, lying within the Geylang Planning Area between Aljunied and Paya Lebar is a great place serving the best authentic Thai Mookata cuisine. The restaurant was founded in 2013. Aroy Mak Mookata is very easily reached as you can either take buses to bus stop B70139 and take a 1-minute walk or take th...
This place is always crowded during lunch hour but the food here is so suitable to our taste buds, that my wife waited patiently for our orders to arrive (LoL). The waitress took our orders promptly and served us side dishes, which we "attacked" happily due to hunger and great taste. Our favou rite side dish is mashed potatoes. It ain't those instant powdery type, not too sweet and th...
I personally love this place, ambience is good, wide variety of food and price is reasonable. We ordered the crackling pork and seafood paella to share. The crackling pork combo set comes with the roasted pork, barbequed pork and potatoes, it is really fresh and yummy and portion is big, i greatly recommend this. The seafood paella is average but people around me seems to enjoy it too. Overa...

Alfero Artisan Gelato at Orchard Gateway #B02-06 got the most yummy Gelato Ice Cream on the island. With a voucher for $5, Mrupupup tried out the Gelato at Alfero Artisan Gelato. Mrupupup looked at the various tubs of Gelato. The tubs were chilled and hidden inside those tubs were various flavours of Gelato. There were flavours of hazelnut, durian (premium), ch...
The Alley Cafe is so aptly named because it's really right up my alley. Located at the relatively inconvenient Keong Saik road, it would take you about a 7-10 minutes walk from Chinatown MRT, just enough to work up an appetite! I believe it may be closer if you were to take Exit H from Outram Park MRT, something I figured out while visiting The Lokal the past weekend....

I never did expect to find such a old coffee shop amongst the modern buildings in not just this area but Singapore as a whole. Everything about this coffee shop has not changed. I spotted the elderly Uncle in his usual white t-shirt and his pocketless pull-string pants. The main reason for not having a pocket is to prevent the coffee boys during those olden days to steal the money collec...
