There were 3 levels of spiciness to choose from - Red, black and white. I tried the Black Spicy Ramen which was a peppery and spicy mix for broth. The noodles were tangy and the pork slices were soft and tender but I would have liked the yolk of the ramen egg to be a tad more underdone. I must say that with practically the entire foodie world raving about Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu ...

Geylang is very famous for their frog porridge and also their zi char in some stores. However, you will always have a hard time finding parking lots. The place is rather inaccessible in term of public transport also. Good news now is that you don't have to travel all the way to geylang to get frog porridge! You could get it at just serangoon area! In addition, the place is absolutely ni...
A new cafe opens in the neighbourhood of Tanjong Pagar. Along Hoe Chiang Road is a cafe serving Asian-Western dishes with a twist! I was very attracted to the interior decor of the cafe which is very posh and immediately teleported me to some part of Europe where tiles are bricked in white and large, majestic gold mirrors hung on the walls.A perfect place for lunch, dinner or ju...
Before we begin, please remember that it is extremely excruciating for me to contain my extraordinary exuberance, especially in face of the expansive extent of excellent egg puns available whenever brunch is served. Therefore, do not be shell-shocked at the lack of pre-embryonic yolks (oops, I really meant jokes) as this review progresses. Let’s get crackin’, baby! Thanks to the lovel...

We order the $14 Cali Cafe Fish and Chip and we waited a whopping 45mins for it and the worst part is the food was not served in sequence. I am very sure me and my friend order our food first (the cashier even key in infront of us as we order direct through the cashier not waitress) follow by 2 other customers who came in later and they order their food later then us. Guess what, they ...

Along the street of Kampong Bahru, one can find this charming and artistic spot that was previously an art gallery. I was being introduced to Old Boys Gallery Tapas Bar & Restaurant, a great place to chill out for a good food and fantastic beer. Upon entering Old Boys Gallery, I was immediately being attracted to all the fine art pieces that were surrounded the places....

A visit to PhoPho during lunch time proved to be a good choice because our food was served fairly quickly. The mango salad is artifully made, with thinly sliced green mangoes, carrots and cucumbers with sesame sauce sprinkled at the top. A good start to a healthy lunch. One good thing about this dish is that I don't have to peel the prawns. The prawns were fresh and sliced into half. T...
Sometimes, I come across something so good, that every bite felt soul shining and that I momentarily lose myself in my food. Lunch at Sumiya Charcoal Grill Izakaya @ Orchard Central is just that and perhaps abit more. Hidden in a little loft at Orchard Central, this gem of a restaurant is one of Orchard’s best kept secret that I almost didn’t feel like sharing.Sumiya is offer...
[Buttermilk Waffles - with smoked ham, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan S$14] - nothing to wow about. I would like to say their service is pretty bad. Had to repeat our orders a few times, no side plates, had to ask for utensils after our waffle is served, when we were served the waffle they asked if we want the ice cream by the side but the ice cream did not come?! 😰😰 that'...

One of the best fried carrot cake (white) can be found at the Ang Mo Kio Central Market & Food Centre. The carrot cake itself is soft and is well covered with egg – this combination is perfect as it is crispy around the edges with a nice fragrant eggy flavour! The picture below is of the $4 serving size and comes with sambal chilli which goes well with the carrot cake.
