Before this bar’s existence in 2010, ‘KPO’ to most people probably referred to the Killiney Post Office that is located next to this bar today within the same building. KPO Cafe Bar is however not named after the post office. It’s located on the junction of Killiney, Penang and Orchard Road, hence the name. A popular hangout place for the office crowd at dusk, the bar...

I can't believe I never spotted this mexican place while working in the vicinity until my friend introduced me to it. The place was rather conspicuous amidst the drinking holes around circular road, but its no fuss mexican food sure brings in the regulars. I had the chicken mole, which seem rather interesting because it stated 'chocolate' as one of its ingredients. Being a chocolate lov...

One of the best fried carrot cake (white) can be found at the Ang Mo Kio Central Market & Food Centre. The carrot cake itself is soft and is well covered with egg – this combination is perfect as it is crispy around the edges with a nice fragrant eggy flavour! The picture below is of the $4 serving size and comes with sambal chilli which goes well with the carrot cake.

Was able to get a table in 5 mins as we went after lunch time to avoid the crowd. We asked the waitress whats good and she suggested the curry chicken, assam fish, prawn paste chicken and t...

Frankly, it's hard to find satay beehoon with pig liver around anymore. They cooked it till they are really soft and it's definitely worth a try if you love pig liver! Items on their menu include fish soup, seafood soup, fish porridge and tom yam seafood soup. You can top up any of these with either noodles or rice. If I am not wrong, they do sell hee bok (fish internal organ) if you requ...

We were at the mall when we happened to see a Fish & Co banner that there was a birthday month promotion discount on top of a complimentary ice cream, and since it was the birthday month for one of us, we decided to have our lunch at Fish & Co.Spacious with a rustic chic decor that gives it a warm, inviting and cozy atmosphere, we find it ideal enough for us to sit back, relax and enjoy...
This new Gyoza restaurant at the basement of the new Robinson mall serves up some really delicious Gyoza! Their menu is rather limited but just go for the Gyoza. I only tried the pan-fried version (they have boiled version as well) and I much prefer the pork gyoza over the veggie gyoza. The skin is thin, crispy and filled generously with good juicy meat. Dip it generously in vinega...

The queue looks super long. We waited 25mins for a table of 4 & started queuing at 6.25pm. However, I have to say for a franchise chain... Nam Nam does serve one of the best vietnamese food in Singapore, at convenient locations too. I would highly recommend it. I always get the beef steak pho (well-done meat). They put red chili slices in the soup so if you're not a big fan of ...
Conveniently located at the basement of Cineleisure Orchard where many youths hang out, you would expect a bright and colourful interior to have your meal in. My friend and I were waiting for our movie to start, so we decided to grab some lunch. Being a somewhat regular visitor, I'm no stranger to this place. But this time, I decided to have a good, deeper look into Graffiti Cafe. ...

Nowadays the public has been getting more health-conscious with many public eat-out health initiatives going on. Kopitiam has been promoting the preferred choice for brown rice, brown vermicelli, less salt and less sugar. Tried the steamed gourmet as I am a fan of brown rice. I like the chewy solid texture of the rice. The dishes here are all steamed, appealing to those who like the li...
Wimbly Lu, my second visit. Love this quaint little place tucked in the residential estates in Serangoon. Check out the fluffy white clouds look in the interior! This place is known for its desserts and ambiance This time round i ordered some different dishes from my first visit! First dish, Chicken & mushroom baked rice (SGD11). Verdict: Don't order this, quite ta...
Generally I thought the food here at Hifumi was average but the range of appetizers is amazing and unlimited! If you're looking for a reasonably priced Japanese sorta buffet place then this is the place for you. I believe it is worth a shot. Everyone seems to love the curly fries so do look out for them!

Always heard good review about this restaurant so giving it a try. There are 5 shops to choose from and we finalize on the 2 with queue. As I am not really hungry we ordered a bowl of beef Ramen and a Pork Ramen to share. Both are using different soup base and noodle and taste salty. Hubby like the Pork Ramen but I just feel ok with both.
There is always long queue at Penang Street especially during lunch hours and despite the fact that they split over two dining areas, it is still not enough to cater for patrons who are looking forward to their food. I like the restaurant theme colour. It is so much like turquoise and it complements the vintage design of their dining table. There is a board that states their Top 10 Dishes ...
A new hot pot experience to me. This is not a traditional steamboat (with clear/herbal soup), in fact you have first to choose a hotpot (Chicken/Fish/Beef/Prawn), it comes with "thick broth". After eating halfway, the service crews will come to you and offer to fill up the pot with soup where the soup is in complete "milky color". Then, you can add the normal steamboat ...
