I am always on the lookout for places that serve good Italian food, as its my family's favourite cuisine and the kids always eat their food without much hassle, when we have Italian. I had come across this restaurant recently and brought a colleague here for lunch. Its set in a restored shophouse that faces the Police Cantonment Complex. Parking is also convenient, where you can park at Pin...

So what is one of the latest food fad to hit Singapore and flood our instagram feed a few months ago? Llaollao! I actually did not heard about it until i see several of my friends posting pictures of this frozen treat and was immediately tempted to try it for myself. As i was at Raffles City, i decided to head to the nearest outlet, which is the one at Marina Link, which was pretty ...

I will always come to Xin Wang Cafe to enjoy a Hong Kong French Toast because there is no other similar kinds on Singapore. Therefore it is my only choice and it tasted always so good! French toast bread is thick and fluffery soft. It like the honey that is drizzled on top of the French toast and the butter to make it taste better.. I like the butter that is already lightly soaked ...

The Food I ordered Char Siew rice with added rice. The char siew meat was juicy and tender, nicely charred and slightly lean which I like it as I do not like fatty meat. The rice texture was soft and fragrant and also tastes good even on it's own as I ordered the chicken rice instead of white rice. The ginger and chilli sauce complements well with the char siew meat. The chi...

Fish head soup $4. Rice 50cents. This was surprisingly quite tasty. The fish had its natural sweetness and the soup was also slightly sweet and lightly flavoured but not bland. Fish was also tender and wasn't difficult to get it off the bones. There was no fishy smell in the soup as well even though the soup is the clear kind. If you like fish soup, you can give it a try although it's ...

My last post on this stall is so long ago! I recently frequented this stall again and prices have increased. The pastry now costs $2 from $1.30 on my last review. Although it is much pricier now, I will still buy it since it is not often that I will be around this area. The size of the pastry remains the same and the taste is still as good as I have remembered. The filling of slightly s...

This is Kuxz living in Choa Chu Kang. I am a Student

Came here with friends for dinner on a weekday and my friend recommended the fried kway teow from this stall. From the look of the presentation, it seems quite tasty. After tasting, the kway teow is full of flavours both from the seasoning as well as the fragrance from the wok. Sufficient dark soy sauce, other seasoning is added and does not too salty. Other ingredients such as the bean ...

That's my 1st time going to Jpot... Knowing there's a set menu  1) Menu D, $68 for 2 pax comprising of:- (A) Soup (choice of 4 items) – We were each given our individual pots and we went with (clockwise, top left) fish head soup (additional $1), bak kut teh, JPOT superior broth and tom yum from the 9 flavours that were available. It seems like a soft serve craze now with so many cafes popping up every week. After my dinner at the recently opened one km mall, I happen to pop by this little cafe along the walkway outside the mall.  There is a list of their Signature parfaits on the menu, about 8 different ones and you can also choose to DIY your own parfait! I decided to get one their Signatures which was the C...

Ordered Unagi Rice Burger on a weekday evening. Waiting time was around 10 minutes. I loved the unagi as it was well marinated and was quite tasty even though it had some soft bones in it. Probably not suitable for young kids and elderly. Rice patty was well grilled and soft as usual. Nothing special about it. Portion of unagi was rather small and is extremely pricey in my view.  ...

I never did expect to find such a old coffee shop amongst the modern buildings in not just this area but Singapore as a whole. Everything about this coffee shop has not changed. I spotted the elderly Uncle in his usual white t-shirt and his pocketless pull-string pants. The main reason for not having a pocket is to prevent the coffee boys during those olden days to steal the money collec...

Meatlness Minestrone!! I love this soup the most. I dont get sick of it after having it numerous times. It contains Vegetable stock, tomatoes, cabbage, onions, kidney beans, carrots, celery and herbs and spices. it cost around $6.60 and is considered cheap..Even without the breadbowl, it is enough to made me full as the ingredients fills the bowl to the brim. The place is rather crowded...

Tiong Hoe Speciality Coffee is a hidden gem at Stirling Road, but it's no stranger to the neighbourhood as it's been around for 50 years now. The owner, Mr Tan, is insisted on the traditional method of roasting 100% pure coffee and providing quality coffee beans to households and food and beverage establishments. Only just few months ago they decided on exploring the cafe c...

I was lucky enough to get to dine here recently. Talking about location of the place, for drivers like me, its near the rear carpark (FOC!) facing the rugby field and you walk up the staircase near Omakase Burger and the entrance to the building itself. You will find it at the same floor as Ah Yat Restaurant. With seats overlooking the rugby field, this newly opened steam...

The spaghetti cooked with the chunky tomato sauce and served with a slice of juicy pan fried chicken breast. The spaghetti was perfectly cooekd and soaked up all the goodness from the tomato sauce. The downside was that the dish tasted slightly bland - few dashes of salt could solve the problem. The breast seem out of place (didnt really merge with the dish).
