Twelve cupcakes has become a pretty popular cupcake chain that now has many outlets throughout the island. I decided to get some cupcakes for a party the other day to try them out. The cupcakes were pretty small, so I found them a little pricey with price tags of $2.50 - 3 for a small cupcake. They were pretty though but the flavours were nothing outstanding, just like any other cupcake. My favourite was the red velvet flavour. Not only did it look the best, it was also the most moist and the creamy cream cheese frosting was not too sweet

Akashi is definitely one of the more expensive Japanese options in town, but the food is pretty good. We came here for dinner one night and had some sashimi each. We had salmon, clams, toro, swordfish among other types of sashimi. Sashimi came up to about 100 dollars per person, but it was very fresh and delicious, each slice was thick and chewy and had good bite to it with no fishy taste.

For a birthday celebration in my family, My aunt bought an awfully chocolate to celebrate the occasion. I quite liked the cake as it was very moist yet having the intense chocolate taste at the same time. The chocolate fudge was quite rich and smooth however I felt more fudge would make the cake nicer. Overall though a nice simple chocolate cake for a simple family gathering.

The prata at mr prata is not outstanding or a must try, but it is definitely decent enough to warrant a repeat visit. The prata ia normal being not too greasy and relatively flavourful but is not quite flaky enough. The tissue chocolate prata is nice for dessert being sweet and crisp and crunchy at the same time. It is really fun to eat and share with others as a treat!

Besides just regular breakfast items such as toast tea and coffee, good morning nanyan cafe also serves main dishes type of food. I came for lunch and was glad to see they served my favourite noodle dish which is mee siam. The noodles were pretty average, nothing outstanding but satisfying with a whole egg and cheap price of less than 3 dollars. Overall a good deal for lunch.
