I had this dilivered to my place as I didn't have enough strength to go all the way to balmoral plaza despite I was pretty much craving for Spizza. As everyone has pretty highly recommend the Quinta pizza, I'm sure enough want to try one. For Medium size it's $17 and for large size it's 22. I think for lady medium is more than enough;)
I love the black truffle sauce which is so so incredibly nice. You can dip that piece of pizza into the running egg yolk. It's beyond heaven!

baked rice OK Mar 27, 2013

Went with friends to marina square and decided to go manhattan fish for dinner. Had to wait for awhile before we had seats due to the dinner crowd. I had ordered the fish baked rice, being a fan of baked rice. The portion was quite large. The taste was cheesy but really nice and went well with the fish. However, the staff took very long to bring us our food as we waited nearly for 40 minutes at our seats before the staff brought us our food. My friends had to wait even longer. There wasn't alot of people then and I am guessing that they were probably understaffed. Nevertheless, it was a good gathering place for friends and family and the seats were comfy.

Fried chicks OK Mar 27, 2013

Well i was out with my boys. we heard about Texas Chicken so we give it a try. We bought 3 meals. First meal we bought a CLASSIC CHICKEN. burger. Which i thought it was okay. Because the chicken was a bit dry. I should have added like mayo or some sauce. Second meal, we bough a TEX WRAP. It's crispy tender strips with cheese and tomatoes. and the wrap wasn't dry at all. it was good. Third meal is MEXICANA BURGER. It's my personal favorite. this burger consists of chicken with tomatoes ,cheese and lettuce and i think it's tortilla chips. Which added the spiciness. This burger is really good. There was the crunchiness, the spiciness and juiciness....yummy!!We spend $27 for the 3 meals which i think is pretty good because all the meals were up size and we can choose either from fries, coleslaw and mashed potatoes as your sides. The lady who served us was very friendly and fast. DO TRY OUT TEXAS CHICKEN. next time I go I will try out the fried chicken!

Fine French Fare OK Dec 14, 2012

My partner & I visited Absinthe for dinner on a Friday evening. I arrived before her but was show to our table & offered a drink whilst I waited. I asked for a bottle of water for the table which only arrived after a different waiter asked me again. No great issue with this, I wasn't in a hurry. I was brought bread & butter to graze on whilst I waited for my other half. The bread was lovely, a selection of soft white, multigrain & French crusty baguette. This appeared to be limitless throughout the meal which was nice.
Once my partner arrived we were brought menus but had to ask for the wine list. Again, no great hardship & they had a fine & extensive collection.
We both had the bouillabaisse which wasn't quite what we expected although it was delicious. Rather than it being in a pot with garlic, cheese, mustard & croutons on the side it was individually portioned with a little plate offers small flat toasted bread(2 pieces each) & a mustard cheese & garlic pre mixed spread. A little disappointing but quite a clever idea as it took up much less space & was easier to eat. The bouillabaisse itself was lovely with fresh fish & seafood & a full flavoured broth. The other food going past all looked wonderful too.
My dessert was a chocolate fondant with berry sorbet which was really tasty. My only issue would be the fondant wasn't very runny in the middle. It went beautifully with the sorbet though & I really enjoyed it.
The service was attentive & friendly but professional and the atmosphere was really relaxed & warm. The dining room was very stylish & reflected the French theme. There was also the offer of a glass of absinthe to finish off the meal! We declined but had a very good quality pastis instead.
We were thanked & wished a good evening by the staff we passed & felt like valued guests. I would definitely go back here again. It wasn't cheap but I don't feel it was overpriced all things considered.

OSO is cool, great design although the first level is a waist of space. Excellent service, the food was good-ok, a bit small size dishes, the major problem is the acoustic - the place is very noisy! To a level it is hard to have nice conversation. The food is a bit expensive and the wine was really over priced. I would rate this among the top for Italian in Singapore, out of many many good and authentic ones we have. Very consistent and among all your typical northern Italian dishes make sure to try the antipasti of cured meats and burrata salad if available.
