I have try Korean BBQ before but Kkongdon was the first time.
This Korean modern BBQ with their simple decor was not the usual buffet that was expected. You have to buy the set meal which cost $20++. However the side dish are free flow.
I ordered a set with is a Combe of black pepper beef and pork. The beef was well marinated but a little too spicy for me but the pork was one of the good.
What I like about this place was that the service crew was attentive to the Customer. They will from time to time serve water to us as they know  I was not used to the spicy beef.
Other than the set ordered. We are also served with Korean rice cake and bean paste soup. The Korean rice cake was good and we even try it on grill. lol As for the soup, spicy but tasty.
Overall the place is good for a group outing as it is in a clubhouse. I would recommend it after spending times after activities and have a wholesome meal in this joint.

A cosy place for a good authentic Peranakan family dinner. This is definitely value for money in term of price. I like the beef rendang and the Chap Chye. Try also the curry fish. Foods are not too spicy.

The place can be crowded, so making reservation will help. It can be frustrating just trying to park your car unless you don't mind taking a taxi.

Must-try dishes include:
Mixed Veg in Claypot
Chicken in Candle nut
Fried whole Fish with chilli paste
Duck soup with sour veggy.

Must try the dessert too :
BoBo ChaChar
Gula Melaka

Great place, great food, great company. Customer Service is good, even if they are short-handed, they try to serve with a smile.

There is both seating indoors and outdoors, and parking is ample next door. The only problem is the far flung location in the east of Singapore.it give us a feeling of escaping the crowd in a relaxed cafe atmosphere. My friends and I are a little enthusiastic about coffee. We tried their flat white, it had a flat bold bitter taste.

The buttermilk waffles served with mangoes on top had a dry texture to it. It was kinda chewy, my friend didn't like it but I was ok with it.

I ordered the Swiss breakfast that comes with sauté mushrooms served on rosti with 2 cheese sausages and scrambled eggs. The mushrooms had a slightly burned taste, rosti was bland but it went well with the sausages splashed with a little sour cream. The eggs were nice, moist and fluffy. I enjoyed this dish. Then again we didn't really specify.

The ice chocolate was delicious.

Atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were all pretty nice.

Tucked in the midst of suburban Singapore in the Yishun district. The food is excellent & reasonably priced. The pepper steak is delicious and the serving size is very generous. The crispy chicken is also excellent but a little small for those with a big appetite. Service and ordering is fast, efficient and friendly. All in all, a good meal for a reasonable price. The food is not out-of-the-world amazing but definitely decent. Will be back.

I am convinced that the line has doubled, or tripled, since the article came out in the papers about this establishment closing in June. Okay, I don't know this for a fact myself, but my parents love this place (we're Teochew) and they come here now and then, apparently at off-peak hours to avoid crowds. We were here on Sat 2pm+ but there were still tons of people!

Be warned, there are two separate lines, 1 for takeout and 1 for sitting in (go in and find yourself a seat!) We didn't realize there were two lines until a nice lady told us so.

Food came pretty promptly. Oh, lime juice was kind of sweet, had to ask for extra ice.
Lovely tender duck (actually, I think I've had just as tender duck at Western places, but that was confit and certainly not for less than $10). Mom avers that this is the most tender duck you can find anywhere! It was pretty good, but I actually didn't find it amazing.. Nice comfort food I guess. Yummy soft rice too smile

Sambal kangkong was delicious!! I love the hae bee (shrimp paste) and chilli.
Also came with this somewhat cornstarchy tofu dish, which I found to be meh. I like soft tofu, but there was a bit too much cornstarch in the sauce.

Apparently this is standard fare for 3 people, and cost $28 or so [including drinks]. Cheap delicious meal! Pity they're closing..tongue
