Read from travel book, chicken rice is locally famous in SG!

Since I arrived here, I always wanna give a try!

Base on my limited dining experience here, very difficult to find an ideal one...

I found this place all by random!

Very traditional interior, yet very cozy smile

We had ordered two sets meal of "Hainan Chicken Rice" (SG$6.8 each) and two lime juices (SG$1.2 each)

Indeed the portion isn't big but just enough. Very traditional taste and I simply like it smile

To spend a casual lunch here with a view of the busy Selegie road, why not smile ?

"Boneless Crystal Chicken Feet" Smile Jan 10, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Coffeeshop | Chicken Rice

The boneless chicken rice is famous and popular here as we know, apart from it, the boneless crystal chicken feet is also a signature dish here.

This time I'm gonna introduce and recommend it to everyone smile

I ordered take-away, portion by SGD 5

Well, they're unexpectedly good! I wanna say that they're juicy and tasty! The boneless chicken feet tasted so good with the sauce! Sweet and sour at the same time! Yum yum!

It makes me wanna come back to eat it from time to time! The portion of SGD 5 is enough for one person tasting. If you are a fan of chicken feet, it is highly recommended. If you are not a big fan, it is nice to give a try since it is boneless and not as 'horrible' as you think ;)

cheers x

Chill afternoon  OK Feb 05, 2013

We bumped into this place for a late lunch. It was really hot on that day and we definitely went for cold drinks. Drinks here are not cheap as expected 'Sentosa price'. Apart from that, we ordered a smoked salmon salad (SGD 16) and a dish of fish and chips (SGD 20).

Food were not excitingly delicious, ordinary and standard. But the environment was definitely good, simply like the breeze from the sea.

Pricey ordinary Food OK Jan 10, 2013

Well, we visit here since it is new to us. Dish here is quite pricey. For its portion and the quality, I dont feel like it worths SGD 10+. Foodcourt downstairs could even do better than them...

We ordered one Nasi rice with curry chicken+braised beef+squid (SGD 15.9). Squid was cold and the general dish was just warm not hot enough (bad). The second dish we ordered was rice noodles with steamed chicken (SGD 10.9). A very ordinary dish which doesn't taste any special at all. Indeed, not far the foodcourt downstairs I can find cheaper rice noodles with steamed chicken... however, drinks here are quite good (pricey though, it could be a meal!). I especially like the mocha red bean drink (SGD 5.9), very creative and nice!

Another night in Chijmes OK Nov 16, 2012
Categories : Italian | Pasta

another night we had visited Chijmes, this time we chose this 'pizza' place. We had ordered Calzone Vesuvio (signature dish here) and one spaghetti with seafood!

This is a very juicy dish! Rich in taste as well. Sadly the portion is a bit small sad

Calzone Vesuvio does't seem to be my type. It is a huge dish though, very meaty indeed... when it colds down, it doesn't taste nice at all... so it is advise to taste it when it is still warm...
