Had a groupon voucher so i opt for the more expensive and "bao ka liao" burger with a bit of everything i like! Happy belly = happy customer! I really love the whole combination of the grilled 150g of 100% NZ grass-fed prime beef, battered onion rings, crispy bacon, sunny side up egg, sautéed basil pesto mushroom, sweet onion jam, cheddar cheese, handmade bbq and aioli sauce on a toasted caramelised onion bun. Makes a very wholesome and satisfying meal. Everything goes well together and tasted great. Worth paying for it cause they are quite generous with everything and most importantly it's well portioned! =)

Waffles + Magic Coffee Smile Aug 20, 2013

This is my very first visit to Stranger's Reunion and they have now expanded to a bigger shop space! I could actually get a chance to visit the first shop which is smaller but cosy. Silly me forgot to check the opening hours and ended up going on their rest day! Lol

Anyway i'm glad to be finally here so let's see what i've tried. It didn't take me long to decide what i want, going to try the popular items which i've heard so much about it. It shall be Magic for my coffee and the waffles!!

Magic - 2 ristretto shots with a thick milk foam on top. Nice balanced cup of coffee which i enjoyed with a nice swan coffee art.

Buttermilk Waffles - This sure is a popular item. Almost every table has this and i was praying it be a good choice cause i heard from someone that standard seems to have drop a bit. Eagerly took my first bite and i wasn't disappointed.

It's so good! Fluffy in the inside and crispy golden brown crust exterior! It's simply oh my god!

Had a really great brunch with good food and coffee! Definitely be back again but this time i hope the aircon can be stronger! Hehe

It's been quite long since i last went to Itacho Sushi and the recent one is only my second visit. Can't remember what i had for my first visit but this time one item definitely caught my attention!

Yellow Tail Sushi with Truffle Oil.... Key word is truffle oil and i love yellow tail for sashimi so to me this is a match made in heaven! My friends and i quickly ordered 1 each to try first.

Smelled divine when it arrived at our table. Love the smell of truffle oil =) Yellow tail sashimi was fresh and the rice was well done too. All goes so well together! I like it so much that i got another 2 more!

For $2.40 per piece, i think it's reasonable.

Beef Wellington  Smile Jul 04, 2013

I'm someone who don't like to drive so convenient location especially when it's very accessible from the mrt appeals a lot to me! So for Wooloomooloo Steakhouse, being located at Raffles City is a plus point for me.

Before I start on the delicious main course which I had, we shall start with the bread first! It has onions in it which i like and they gave a generous portion with the butter too! Super love!

Now the main course - Beef Wellington ( Australian filet mignon with mushroom duxelle, wrapped in Parma ham, topped with Foie Gras & wrapped with puff pastry. Served with red wine Madeira sauce ).

I was viewing the online menu first and when i saw the deescription, i knew i'm going to have this! All my favorite stuff in one! Shiok is the word to describe. Imagine my happiness when i opened up the puff pastry to reveal what's inside! I asked for medium for the filet mignon and i was satisfied with it. Foie gras is of a decent size and parma ham add a nice bit of saltiness to the whole dish.

For $69, i thought it was quite worthwhile for the goodies i get within one dish. Service was nice and attentive too. Quiet environment too on a weekday night.

Tobiko Scallop Pasta Smile Jul 03, 2013

Tobiko Scallop Pasta - juicy sautéed scallops crowned with tobiko sit invitingly on velvety spaghetti lightly seasoned in fragrant Japanese soy dressing.

Above is the description when i was looking at TCC menu. Since it's a new item, i decided to give this a try! The dressing for this pasta feels like another of my favorite at TCC which is the Mentaiko Spaghetti. As usual the pasta at TCC never disappoint me.

The whole combination for the tobiko scallop pasta goes well together! I just wish they can give me more scallops and it be even more perfect! Haha.

And since i'm using my birthday discount of 50%, i decided to get a drink as well. I also tried another new item which is Honey Citrus Fizz which was really nice and refreshing. Great way to end my meal and just chit chat with my friend =)
