It's been so long since my last visit to this hawker centre so was eager and happy to try out the food again.

My brother went straight to this stall to order half a chicken and chicken feet salad.

Oh my good when i took my first bite of the tender piece of chicken! Actually looks wise is already very good. I am so glad the taste is equally good too! The chicken skin is so smooth, it glide off the meat so easily. Love the salty sweet gravy that comes with the hainanese chicken. Very delightful dish!

The chilled chicken feet skin salad is refreshing and fresh! Add a nice touch to the whole meal so it's worth ordering as well.

We also had lor mee which is just few units away from this stall. Will post about it in the next review =)

Churros Bites Smile Aug 20, 2013

Saw this on someone instagram and since i love churros and can be quite hard to find good ones in Singapore, i just had to find a chance to try it.

It's pretty easy to spot this shop (just next to Crystal Jade) once you walked out of the mrt. I tried the churros bite in regular size $3.20 and you can choose from 4 toppings. I had the chocolate one =)

Eat it while it's hot and it's very nice!! It was fluffy on the inside with the right crunch on the outside + drizzle with the chocolate sauce = shiok!

Shiok Maki & Century Egg Tofu Smile Jul 09, 2013

Thanks to the social media, nowadays it's so easy to get updated infomation on where to go for makan. And Koh Grill & Sushi Bar is a popular one! Since i always loved Japanese food, i decided to come here to try out the food.

Since i was alone, i don't want to be too adventurous so i stick to 2 items - Shiok Maki (the very popular item ) and the Century Egg Tofu. I paid around $20 for the bill which i thought was quite reasonable cause for Shiok Maki alone, it was loaded with a generous amount of ingredients.

I would strongly recommend Shiok Maki if it's your first visit. There was a second generation of shiok maki so i decide to try it. Instead of unagi for the original, this one was replaced with tempura prawn! I love it =)

The whole combination of the tempura prawn, wakame, salmon on top of it, drenched with the most amazing cheesy sauce and completed with a generous topping of tobiko. It's a very blissful feeling when i put the first piece in my mouth! I like this so much till i'm planning a second visit to try the original one.

Century egg tofu was very well done too. With fresh ingredients (very important), it can't go too wrong! Yummy!

I've been to Crystal Jade countless times but first time i try this Jiang Nan one. Introduced by my bestie and i think this is currently the only branch in Singapore.

First and must order dish was the Ma La Spicy Chicken La Mian. I forgot the actual name for it. 口水鸡 or something. Haha! Anyway i love this! The Ma La taste is acceptable for me and once you mixed everything up, it's quite shiok to enjoy the noodles with the chicken and century egg.

Second recommended dish will be the Deep Fried White Bait. Another really yummilicious dish. It's coated with this nice sweet sauce. Whole thing has a really nice texture to it.

So if it's your first visit here, i strongly recommend this two dishes to start first! Won't regret =)

Formerly known as Terry, this was one place i really want to come and try out their food. Had one of my recent christmas meet up with a friend here and since we were not too hungry, we decided to just get 3 tapas to share.

1) GAMBAS AL AJILLO $18 - Prawn cooked with Garlic, Chilli and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Prawn was fresh and i really enjoyed the garlic bits together with it. Seems like nothing extraordinary but everything goes well together and most importantly ingredients are fresh.

2) ROLLITO DE JAMÓN RELLENO DE CALAMAR $16 - Squid wrapped with Jamón Ibérico a la plancha served with fresh lime (4 pieces). This was quite interesting. First time i tried this combination and i like it.

3) Special of the day - White asparagus with scrambled egg drizzled with truffle oil $18. Another dish that is very well done! Simply yummy and i love it.

I kind of like how their dishes gave a homely feel and the whole place is very cosy too even though it's not a big place. Definitely will be back again!
