Previously it was a shop selling bak kut teh and western food. But somehow business here always don't stay for very long. Recently i noticed a new owner taking over and it's selling vegetable rice + zi char. 

Decide to try it one day and i ordered hokkien mee! Appearance wise, it scored some winning points. Looks and smell good! Taste wise, i think those who like their food strong flavored one will love it. And they are generous with their green chili. I like!! 

The quiet environment plus near my office appeals to me. May come back again to try out their vegetable rice. 

This is my 3rd visit to Danro. I remembered first 2 visits was pretty good and my favourite scallops were available. Don't know why but i really enjoyed the scallops in the various broth i've tried before.

For this recent visit, scallops was not available!! Was kind of disappointed but it also divert my attention instead to the cooked food which i usually hardly touch at all. I personally like the cold soba and special Onsen eggs. Very appetizing and refreshing! Tried some sushi and i like =)

But i'm not sure if i be going back again. May only consider due to it's location. Would prefer Suki-Ya!

I hardly go to AMK Hub nowadays and recently when i was there, i discovered some changes to the dining choices that's around the customer service counter. That's when i saw this new Japanese restaurant Udon King. Looks interesting as they even have local favourite like hokkien mee.

The Pork Shabu Miso Nabeyaki (Ala carte $11.90 : Set meal $15.90 ) caught my eye! It has all my favorite items all in one. Looks really good when it arrived at my table.

Taste wise, it turns out to be so so only. I love the udon, meat is ok but the broth nothing special.

Everyone been talking about this new Thai restaurant in town so i went to check it out with my friend. 

One of our main purpose was to enter this contest ( with $80 spending ) so we try to hit the target. Haha! And so we ordered Tom Yum Soup, Steamed Seabass, Phad Thai and Coconut Ice Cream.

Tom Yum Soup - I love the ingredients in the soup especially the prawns! Very fresh! But soup wise, i still prefer clear ones.

Steamed Seabass - Fish is fresh and i like the sauce but i will prefer it they served it with a warmer to keep it hot.

Phad Thai - this was quite well done and i like the overall taste when i squeezed the lime in!

Coconut Ice Cream - This turns out to be pretty good as well. I'm usually not a huge fan but i managed to finish it!

Final bill was about $100 which i will rather spend it elsewhere. Food is alright only and i'm not sure if i be back again.

For convenience and affordable price, the $2 chicken fillet burger is a great choice! I tried this recently when i was at Junction 8 trying to get some errands done. Was in a rush and hungry and i was reminded of this $2 offer when i walked past KFC! 

Quickly grabbed one and eat along the way as i tried to get my things done. I thought they seems a bit "generous" with the salt. Maybe i'm older now so tends to eat less salty. This is my only complaint, if not it's not too bad for a $2 burger
