Beef Kway Teow Soup Smile Nov 18, 2014
Categories : Thai | Restaurant

Yesterday was raining and naturally i want something hot and soupy for lunch and i was starving! I am so glad there's a Nakhon Kitchen at Ang Mo Kio which is so convenient for me to walk over from work.

I opt to have the Beef Kway Teow Soup which is $4! Broth is quite nice and flavorful but i do like to play around with the various chili they have and add it into my broth. Kway teow may be a lot for some ( based on feedback from friends ) but personally i am ok with it since i love all kind of noodles. Wished there can be a bit more beef though! Hehe.

Overall it's decent for a one dish meal. I finished up everything, not wasting any soup! Slurp!

Dinner Smile Jun 25, 2014

Categories : Restaurant | Kids-Friendly

Came here for my birthday celebration with a group of friends. We chose here cause we thought it be more kids friendly with an indoor playground. It's my first time here so i don't know what to expect for our food.

I saw lasagna on the menu and decide to have this cause it's been quite long since i last had one. Mine was the last one to arrive cause i think need more time to prepare but it's worth waiting! Personally i find it very nice! Every layer of pasta is filled with yummy minced beef, cheese, tomato puree. Enjoy this while it's hot. Even my little nephew likes this too! Even now i am missing it!

The other 2 dishes are Rosemary Chicken and Fish & Chips. I didn't try but feedback was ok. The rest of my friends also find the food decent. Just for the lasagna alone, i don't mind coming back for it =)

Ramen Dinner Smile Jun 24, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Fast Food

It was after a long day of walking around and my legs were breaking plus i was hungry! I really want to sit down to rest and eat something. Yoshinoya was right in front of me so i thought why not since i haven't had Yoshinoya for quite long.

I know they have ramen in their menu now so went for that immediately since i love noodles. I opt for beef ramen set meal! I was their around 9+pm so there was hardly anyone around. The guy at the counter was very friendly. Was given a small bowl of corn and my small coke first while they prepare my ramen.

Maybe i was tired and hungry, the bowl of beef noodles tasted pretty good! It was quite shiok to enjoy a bowl of hot noodles! The broth was kind of salty sweet kind, not bad. Ramen was ok too! Simple and basic! I don't mind having this again if i want a quick meal =)

This is one place i will come once in a while as i quite like their fishballs. Recently been eating a lot of mee pok lately so it was refreshing to have kway teow for a change. Extra chili and vinegar is a must for me!

I must say this was a very satisfying lunch! Taste was just nice in the way i like! Happy tummy!

Lor Mee Smile Jun 23, 2014
Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

I usually go for noodles first and when i spotted this lor mee stall, i went straight for it. While i was waiting in the queue, you can see newspaper cutting of them appearing on tv, interviews, etc.

Waiting time in the queue was ok for me. Once i got my bowl of lor mee, i added everything that was available. Haha! But more chili and vinegar is a MUST for me!

The taste for this lor mee is not bad. Quite shiok to enjoy when it's hot! But someow i still prefer the stall at AMK S11 (beside Jubilee Square one) cause maybe i am more used to the taste and it's much more convenient for me too!
