I had meal at Cafe Brio, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. I was my first time at this place and the cafe was cosy. It was not crowded. I had the following for my meals : Citrus Salmon with Green Apples. The salmon was fresh and good well with the soury green apple. The next dish was the Butternut creamy soup with Boston Lobster. The soup was thick with butter cream and little scrip of lobster to go with the soup. The main course was the roasted duck breast and grilled quail served with potatos and baby vegetable. The duck is a red meat and the little carbohydrate is used to allow diner to finish it. The dessert served was chocolate pistachi mille-feuille sauterned wine jelly with Berries compote and lemon sorbet. A good meal is completed with little glass of wine and with chocolate. That is a wonderful combination of the menu.

Breakfast at Ikea OK Mar 20, 2014
Categories : Western Variety | Kids-Friendly

I had breakfast at Ikea Alexandra branch.  The mee siam was served in a bowl rather than shallow plate.  I prefer mee siam served in bowl as the bee hoon is fully soaped in the bowl and the bee hoon can be soften. I added lime juice onto the mee siam and the taste is perfect to be sour.  The egg given is half sized hard boiled egg.  There is strong egg yolk flesh smell.  There is little bean curb.  One problem is that the mee siam soup is not steaming hot.  I prefer soup to be steaming hot.
As I prefer hot beverage, I had my cup of coffee after I had finished my bowl of mee siam.  I added 1/3 packet of sugar and one packet of creamer on the black coffee.  There isn’t strong coffee aroma but one thing that is certain is that the coffee can keep me await the whole day.  I was still await  that night.
Another thing that I notice that bowl and cup are served in glassware.  Food which are served in glassware makes a difference in the taste.
I enjoyed my breakfast meal at Ikea.

Visited the Ikea Cafe at Alexandra Branch for breakfast. It was the cheapest that I ever had. I ordered the mee sian at $1.90. The gravy was spicy and fresh lime is served. It comes with half size boiled egg. The vermicle is substantial but the soup is not boiling hot. When I had a finger good and cinamon bread with hot black coffee. The environment was excellent as children can run around safety and parents can enjoy the meal in peace.

Lapis Sampling OK Jan 20, 2014
Categories : Indonesian | Desserts and Cakes

I was at Great World City and visited Kedai Keu Keu at Basement 1. I sampled the Lapis. The crew offered me a tray of cut lapis. There were the chocolate, prune, pandan, coffee, srikaya steamed cake and original flavors. There were no preservative added and neither was the lapis sweet. The lapis are made to local flavor that means no cinnamon added.

The Lapis is soft texture and no strong aroma of spice. My favourite lapis is the Srikaya Steamed Cake and the original flavor.

The pricing of the lapis are as follows :
Traditional large (1 kg) $51,
Prune Lapis (1.1 kg) $56
Chocolate Lapis (1 kg) $53
Pandan Lapis (1 kg) $52
Mocha Lapis (1 Kg) $53
Srikay Steamed Cake (1 kg) $25.80

The crew was polite and patient and allowed me to sample the lapis. She explained to me in details of the quality of the Lapis.
