I was here with my friends after a night of partying. This stall is no longer Lau Pa Sat, it's now called Wang Li Deli, a stall which sells Nasi Lemak and Economic Bee Hoon.

I have a chance to sample my friend's Nasi Lemak and I think I will not patronize this stall again.

The chicken wing is tough and cold, obviously it was fried in the morning and they were still serving it at night, the rice limp and almost tasteless, and the otah, yikes, factory made and taste overwhelmingly of the flour they have mixed in with the otah.

Thumbs down.

My friend ordered a roast platter for the both of us. But I am quite shock to know that the prize of the platter is about $18! mad

Therefore I am expecting something that's out of this world, but alas I am so disappointed by the food. It's largely dry and tasteless, and I can barely discern the slight sweetness of the Char Siew. sad

My friend has to keep asking the auntie for the sauce to at least add some flavour to the food.

The small kopitium is also quite small and dark.

My father will order whole roasted chicken from them sometimes, when we need to do tomb sweeping, but no more. We find them too expensive, so we will buy from Bukit Timah Food market instead.

Sorry to say but the chicken rice here is not that good. The rice is not that fragrant and the chicken, well is too soggy for me, not firm or tender at all.

I think they cut some corners here preparing the chicken here, so I tend to avoid patronizing this stall.

Fish Ball not that fresh Cry Mar 10, 2011

When I tucked into the noodles during my lunch time, I wasn't expecting much. The fishballs were not that fresh with a rubbery and powdery texture.

And the noodles also have that "ghee" taste.

I expect better from a simple dish like mee poh dry or fishball kuay teow soup.

Also the soup is too salty and MSG.

I have purchased fish soup from this stall before. There's always a queue of office ladies who would buy based on the perception that fish soup is healthier. But it depends on the ingredients that go into it, like milk, salt etc.

I have tasted the fish soup once and I never buy from him again. Mostly because its very ordinary tasting and nothing fantastic about it. And worst of all, when I tried to scoop up more soya sauce and chili, the stall owner stopped me and said soya sauce and chili were not free, and forbid me from taking any more chili.

I find that quite unreasonable.
