Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro has different menu(s) presented at different times of the day. Coincidentally, we went on a weekend and brunch is available to, aside from the ala-carte menu.
The Full Monty Brekkie ($24.00), which has a pair of German pork sausage, rainbow trout, poached eggs, paprika hollandaise, toasted focaccia, roasted tomato and fresh organic mixed greens.
Overall was ok, but the poached egg style is first of a kind to me. Firm whites but oozy yolk, which I don't see it in other F& B establishments. My personal preference goes to the version did by Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro! In addition, added credit to the rainbow trout which although thin slices, the sweetness of it made me loved it already.
Tiger Beer-Battered Halibut ($26.00), a lunch item in the ala-carte menu that comes with white truffle-scented shoestring fries, wasabi-infused yuzu shoyu, and tartar.
Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro aims to serve freshly-supplied seafood on a daily basis, and I have no doubt about it. Tiger Beer-Battered Halibut is quite a satisfaction as the fish meat looks silky-soft and easily comes off like a flake. The taste is nonetheless marvellous.
There are several restaurant surrounding the marina, and prices are not cheap either. But once awhile, some pampering is still needed to award yourself for having gone through the hectic work week.

Appare Udon has shop space of 3 units, but I was surprised at the amount of tables the restaurant can accommodate. With a rough estimate, it could be less than a 100 pax or less. Its kitchen is probably already occupying almost a whole unit by itself.
If you are person who likes to admire how chef prepare your food, you may choose to take a seat at the counter, where separated by a low-rise window panel.
Appare Udon & Tempura Japanese Restaurant has limited variety in their menu. Basically there 3 main types of food you should be looking at, which are their udon, tempura, and interestingly-presented sushi.
Tonkatsu and Fried Prawn Curry Udon ($15.80 for regular portion). Thick curry base, thick and chewy udon which makes me like what I've ordered. Japanese curry is never too spicy for me, and both the pork cutlet and prawn tempura is quite meaty too.
Nabeyaki Tonkotsu Udon ($16.00). Initially the soup tasted kind of clean and bland to me, but as it keep brewing, the soup become thicker and tastier.
Bear Inari Sushi ($8.50). Cartoonised sushi. It look interesting too, where Appare Udon uses teriyaki sauce to mark the face features, barley seeds as the ears, and the milk-biscuit (reminds me of wan-wan snack) to make the nose more evident. Sushi taste quite normal though.

I haven't been to Spruce before, and I gave my first to the outlet at Phoenix Park after hearing the food at Tanglin fare better than at Upper Bukit Timah.

Spruce is a modern American casual dining concept, and is open for lunch and dinner. From the exterior seating, it may seem like you are dining in a forest theme, where tall trees are towering the top and almost covering the entire stretch of the open sides.

Gentle tip from my friend who is a regular fan of Camomile Hot Tea. Get the honey instead of sugar to blend with the camomile. It makes the tea taste better, and also promote a healthier drinking method with its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.

Bernaised Truffle Fries ($10.00). Spruce only serve normal fries during the day, but without much persuasion and knowing that we would like to have truffle fries instead, the manager is kind to accede to our special request, which is usually only served during dinner. Bernaised sauce is like an evolution of the widely-known Hollandaise sauce, where preparation is the same. This smooth and creamy sauce taste less eggy and comes with a light touch of herb. Definitely my choice now if I am able to choose.

Soft Scrambled Eggs ($18.00). Two pieces of light-toasted bread with a portion of almost well-done scrambled eggs, topped with smoked salmon and caviar.

Crab Cake Benny ($25.00), is one of four Benedict Collection in Spruce. I really have to complement on the crab cake. Lightly-fried on the outer, and came out the shredded-like crab meat when sliced.

If you are looking for normal food, where it's not just the usual toast and eggs, Pork Bolognese ($22.00) can be one of your options of the 7 items under the Savory section of the menu.

Double Chocolate Caramel Crunch Cake ($12.00). The immerse chocolate-y taste and crunchy bits is well shared among the 3 of us, and licked clean off the plate.

I have been other outlets managed under Paradise Group, but to Canton Paradise, this was still my first. Canton Paradise focus on the Cantonese popular delights, such as the roast meat and dim sum, as though bringing you to Hong Kong.
One of Canton Paradise must-order is the BBQ Pork Belly with Honey Sauce. But not wanting to miss out on the all-time favorite, Kampong Chicken, we ordered the BBQ Combination ($18.80 for 2 varieties) that comes in either 2 or 3 varieties.
We had actually wanted the normal BBQ Pork with Honey Sauce and the Steamed Kampong Chicken in Canton Style, but was strongly recommended by the crew to try their BBQ Pork Belly with Honey Sauce. It can be sinful to the health-conscious people, but it is really good. Every bite I took made me lick my lips clear of the sweet honey sauce and enjoying the tenderness of the pork belly. Their Steamed Kampong Chicken in Canton Style is nowhere inferior to the BBQ Pork Belly too.
Steamed "Ling Zhi" Spring Water Tofu with Minced Pork and Salted Fish ($13.80). Three big pieces of wobbly tofu, with salted fish mashed and mixed with the minced meat to steam. I am glad that the taste of salted fish is quite mild, and thus able to enjoy the tofu and minced meat without a stain of detestation.
Crisp Fried Crystal Prawns tossed with Salted Egg Yolk ($18.80). I had several occurrences with dishes cooked with salted egg yolk, and I would say this dish does meet my expectation. Taste of salted egg has subtly merged with the prawns, and thus making this entire dish enjoyable instead of feeling like eating salted egg yolk and fried prawns separately.

The Laneway Market is as its name describes. Situated in a laneway just off the busy and narrow road of Tanjong Katong Road, where parking can be a tedious job. If you have been to the east of Singapore, and specifically Tanjong Katong, it is almost like another food haven, where cafes and restaurants sprouts all over and definitely, residents around need not worry about starving.
Limited seating, thus reservation is very much appreciated though you still have to wait for the next empty table, instead of having one made ready before your appointed arrival time.
Menu is well-thought for diners who have preferences for brunch, mains and also healthier eating. Each section has less than 10 selections, but their forte seems to be in coffee drinks.
Sea Salt Chocolate ($6.00). Taste like a normal iced chocolate with the addition of sea salt that requires you to stir well, else the salty chocolate drink might just not make it.
Spam fries, truffle mayo ($9.00). Thickly-cut fries, and is pretty crispy on the outside, but for the portion and with the price paid, I believe The Laneway Market can be more generous with the serving. But that one special thing that caught my attention was the truffle mayo to dip with the fries. Usually would be just truffle fries.
Laneway Carbonara, Bacon, Chipolatas, Sous Vide Egg ($15.00). I love this, because of the yolk-y sauce on the carbonara after you mixed it up. The yolk is not as strong as when you ate the quarter-cooked egg in hawker centres or Ya Kun etc., and blend it with white pepper and soy sauce. I simply scoop up every sauce I can with my carbonara, as the creamy style is just what I liked about.
Herb Chicken, truffle mash, mushrooms, roasted carrots, pickled cucumbers ($17.00). The herb chicken is worth having as it has kind of like a juicy meat and well-roasted skin. But the sauce has a mixture of both sour and sweet which then failed to coax me into dipping my chips with it.
I felt that The Laneway Market is shorthanded in terms of its crew, as there were only 2 of them serving and scrambling in quick pace all over, from table cleaning, food ordering, serving and also settling payment. Although another pair of helpful hands seems very much in need.
