Classy decor with dim lights, resulting in comfortable ambience.

Do note that if you are entering for desserts, you will be directed to the low tables located near the entrance, while high tables for the mains.

Cajun Spring Chicken ($25.00) is Pan-Seared Half Baby Chicken with Seasonal Vegetables. Underneath the cajun chicken is actually carrot puree.

Fish and Chips ($23.00) is Norwegian Haddock in Tempura Batter with French Fries & Tartare sauce. I love the fish and it was fresh and meat is so tender!

Under the section Cups, we ordered Tiramisu ($9.00) with highlights such as Mascarpone Cheese Mousse with Coffee Infused Ladyfinger. There is liqueur in it, and quite strong too if you are used to those without. But not enough to make you drunk, as confirmed by a non-drinker like me tongue Soothing dessert!

Under Mini Cakes, we ordered the Raspberry Mille Feuille ($9.00), having Caramelized Puff Pastry, Vanilla Mascarpone Cream and Raspberry Jam. Crunchy and creamy dessert. We had this cleaned up in no time too!

Side by side with That CD Shop, you get to enjoy some pop music for free!

For details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/10/poulet.html

There was a queue when I reached, but I had my butt rested in less than 15 minutes.

Saucisson. Grilled French garlic and pork sausages served with their home-made black mission fig marmalade. The sausages are pretty juicy, and one of the sauce seems what like wasabi, but the black mission fig is sweet as it should be!

Braise de Poulet. Stew-cooked chicken leg with potato, onion, garlic and leek in white wine sauce. The soup is refreshing, and the chicken meat is tender smile

Poulet Rosti. This is the signature dish in Poulet! The chicken is brined for a full day and slow roasted till skin turns golden brown, and added with their home-made mushroom chardonnay sauce.

I had the half chicken, and I simply love their creamy mushroom chardonnay sauce, which is a nice combination with their chicken rosti :9

Caramelised Apple in Puffy Tart. Baked caramelised granny smith apple and almond paste in puffy tart served with vanilla ice cream. Liked this dessert, although the caramelised apple is a little sweety. But smudged it with the ice cream, it's just yummy!

For details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/06/park.html

Park is located in Holland Village, which is quite popular for foods and pubs too . And Park itself, opens till late to fit into the environment smile

Indoor seating is pretty narrow, but outdoor seating is spacious and well-ventilated with fans running at the ceiling. Food wise is a little steep, but worth the price!

PARK Wings for $8.50 which are well-fried, but rating wise is a little above average. Eggs Benedict for $13.80 with runny egg yolk, and crispy bacon. Beef Hayashi for $13.50 where beef is soft, and sauce is thick and sweet! Finally, Lemon Meringue Cake for $9.90 to end this yummylicious meal <3

Crowded, but fabulous food! Smile Feb 01, 2013

Categories : Café

When I reached there, I was confused as what seems to be the entrance, is not the entrance. Luckily I was curious enough to peer through the metal gates!

It was crowded with people, especially on a weekend morning. No one is there to serve you to your sears, thus it is up to you to get a seat yourselves, be it indoor or outdoor. The moment i entered inside, it was full of coffee bean smell, which totally freshen up one's mind. Liked their interior seating concept. Round about table concept like bar counter, and side seatings for those who prefer to have a little privacy.

Menu has to be retrieved from the cashier area. They do not have a wide array of menu to select, but this makes my selection area much narrower smile Food is awesome, for sure. They do take some time to serve the food, but it was acceptable given their crowded cafe. Probably 10-15 minutes of waiting time. Had their seared dory fish for $15. Their fish is fresh, and their sauce is good to go along with the fish and their miniature potatoes. Aso had their chicken patties for $12.50. Meat is chewy and juicy, and it doesn't just come in 2-3 quantity.

Place for cartoonised sushi OK Oct 04, 2015

For more details, please visit http://www.foodesteem.com/2015/10/appare-udon-tempura-japanese-restaurant.html
Appare Udon has shop space of 3 units, but I was surprised at the amount of tables the restaurant can accommodate. With a rough estimate, it could be less than a 100 pax or less. Its kitchen is probably already occupying almost a whole unit by itself.
If you are person who likes to admire how chef prepare your food, you may choose to take a seat at the counter, where separated by a low-rise window panel.
Appare Udon & Tempura Japanese Restaurant has limited variety in their menu. Basically there 3 main types of food you should be looking at, which are their udon, tempura, and interestingly-presented sushi.
Tonkatsu and Fried Prawn Curry Udon ($15.80 for regular portion). Thick curry base, thick and chewy udon which makes me like what I've ordered. Japanese curry is never too spicy for me, and both the pork cutlet and prawn tempura is quite meaty too.
Nabeyaki Tonkotsu Udon ($16.00). Initially the soup tasted kind of clean and bland to me, but as it keep brewing, the soup become thicker and tastier.
Bear Inari Sushi ($8.50). Cartoonised sushi. It look interesting too, where Appare Udon uses teriyaki sauce to mark the face features, barley seeds as the ears, and the milk-biscuit (reminds me of wan-wan snack) to make the nose more evident. Sushi taste quite normal though.
