Love their beef! Smile Jan 21, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Japanese BBQ/Teppanyaki | Sukiyaki/Shabu Shabu

Ordered US Nami-Karubi ($19.00), also known as Chuck Rib. Medium size around 80 grams. If this is not enough for you, they have large portion ($24.00), which is around 120 grams. Tender and juicy indeed.

Kinoko Hoiru-Yaki ($6.90), which is assorted mushrooms with butter. It comes wrapped in aluminium foil, and to be cooked directly over the barbeque stove for 7-9 minutes. Be warned of its buttery taste!

One of my recommendation is Sausage Moriwase ($15.80). With a choice of beef, chicken or pork, we went for the pork. Big, fat and flavorful sausage being sliced.

Oo-Ebi Yaki ($24.00), also Giant Tiger Prawn for Grill. Fresh and juicy tiger prawns. You can hear yourself crunching on it tongue

If you are one of those who do not wish to miss out ramen in a Japanese dining place, I can recommend Kuro-Buta Ramen ($15.80). It consists of pork, bean sprout, black pepper, and leek in pork-based soup.

Beef seems like one of their specialty, so do try to spare some money for their beef items when you are visiting them smile

The whole dining area can be divided into 3 sections, mainly outdoor for al fresco diners such as bar bites and cocktails, indoor for gourmet diners, as well as a private dining room to host some private dining events! With these 3 sections being lined up, it does aim to accommodate a wider group of diners.

Bulldog Watermelon and Kaffir Lime Gin and Tonic ($20.00) and Fords Sugarcane and Mint Gin and Tonic ($20.00), differentiated by the piece of fruit hanging onto the rim.

D10 Punch ($34.00) is a blend of Moscato wine, Crème de cassis, dark rum, apples, strawberries, mixed berries and ginger ale. Of course, this can be shared among 3-4 pax.

Walnut Focaccia is their complimentary Homemade starter bread. Feta cheese and sundried tomatoes wrapped within the outer-crispy bread, and has to go with the dipping of the greenish sauce to enjoy it fully smile

Green Asparagus, Fried Egg Sunny Side Up, and Sage Butter ($18.00). I love asparagus, and theirs are not too soft and crunchy too!

Pan-fried Goose Liver, Wild Berries Sauce and Balsamic Syrup ($20.00). One word... Splendid!

Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, Mustard Dressing, Sauteed Wild Mushrooms ($18.00).

Homemade Angel Hair Pasta with Lobster, Peperoncino, Basil and Fresh Tomatoes ($38.00) *Bonta favorites. Thick sauce that clings the pasta, making it easy to roll on your fork and into your mouth. I can simply request for another serving...

Roasted Atlantic Cod Medallion, Spanish Smoked Paprika and Herbs Oil ($32.00). Cod fish is my favorite fish, because their meat seems soft and silky in my mouth.

Crispy Goose Leg Confit, Roasted Garlic, and Soft Potato Mousse ($26.00).

Homemade Foie Gras Ravioli, Light Parmesan Sauce and Scamorza Cheese ($34.00) *Bonta favorites. Does it resemble something that we used to have it in our coffeeshop's soup noodle stores? tongue

Signature Black Angus Beef Striploin, Fried Eggs and Black Truffle ($36.00). Prime beef grilled over hot charcoal, served with natural cut fries and mixed salad. The mushroom gravy over at the back is a must try.

Overall this dish is awesome, if not for the overcooked beef? At least I find it so, as I'm used to having my steak at medium-rare.

Traditional Italian Tiramisu ($14.00). Personally, I find it too wet, and pretty much like eating "drenched" spongecake?

Cinnamon Apple Fritters with Icing Sugar ($12.00). I was looking so much to start my fork on this, till I realized the apple in the fritter is too sour.. If it can be a little sweeter, this will be my dessert for the night.

Policy: No substitution of food items. They are strict with this, so perhaps you might want to consider putting your "dislike" aside and enjoy the rest of the food smile

Iced Latte ($7.00), and Queen Bee ($9.00) which consists of ruby red grapefruit, elder flower and honey for a refreshing taste. I personally find it bitter instead of refreshing...

Imported Norwegian Smoked Salmon ($10.00).

European ($19.00) consisting of two poached eggs, sauteed mushrooms, imported Italian prosciutto, homemade hollandaise sauce on signature brioche. Toast is quite hard, and yolks are not as runny I would love to have, but delicious to finish up.

English ($24.00) consisting of scrambled eggs, Canadian back bacon, Cumberland pork sausage, sauteed mushrooms, dad's baked beans, breakfast potatoes, grilled vine ripened tomato and signature brioche. Scrambled eggs can be a little dry, but still soft to slice and chew. My favorites are the sausage and potatoes tongue

Even though it's stated in their website that they accept reservations for branch at Scotts Square, several calls made were not attended. If you really love to have your meal at Wild Honey, best is to head down and queue. Oh, at least they do accept on-site reservation smile

For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.com/2013/12/hoshino-coffee.html

"Hoshino" Blended Coffee ($5.80), which is roasted over open fire, producing a strong bodied flavor with pleasant sourness. Personally, I love the slight bitter taste, and the tad of sourness to wake my mind from the morning blurness tongue

Lobster Bisque Soup Spaghetti ($16.00). Of course, no lack of lobster taste, but I don't quite like it..

"Hoshino" Pot-Baked Curry Rice ($15.00). A simple dish, with curry over rice, broccoli, beef and sausage. Mixed it up with a near-raw egg, turned into a mushy bowl of crurry rice!

Matcha Softee ($5.80). This cone of ice-cream came free-of-charge if you are using Standard Chartered card for payment.

Pot-Baked Vanilla Souffle ($9.80). I really love this!!! Inside is like a perfect egg-tart custard, which is soft and fluffy! The sweetness of the custard is just awesome!

But for non-beef eaters, you are only limited to their spaghetti section...

Hot Plate Tofu with Cai Xin and Minced Pork ($10.90). Basically a simple dish of fried tofu, having soft on the inside, and sauce of cai xin and minced pork over the tofu. Of course, with a layer of egg at the base. Similar to our 铁板豆腐, Hotplate Tofu, in most 煮炒 stalls. I love it to go with my rice!

Coffee Pork Ribs ($12.90). Coffee taste is not strong, suitable for light coffee-goers. Suace is thick, and blends well with the ribs! It has been licked clean by me tongue

Steamed Grouper with Tofu in Supreme Soya Sauce ($18.90). Fish is not fresh at all, but well steamed and soya sauce taste is just nice. Personally, I would prefer fried sliced fish with black bean paste, which is not available that day sad
