Drinks are Lemongrass & Honey ($5.50), and Iced Latte ($5.50).

Shoestring Fries ($5.00) with paprika seasoning!

Corned Beef Mash & Poached Eggs ($16.00), which is a layer of mash potato, corned beef and poached eggs with hollandaise sauce and mixed greens on the side. All you need to do is mix it all up.

Smoked Salmon & eggs ($16.00) with smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, toasted brioche and with mixed greens on the side. Added mushrooms ($3.00) under "EXTRAS" to it.

Peach Tart ($7.00). Pretty normal fruit tart, but with a big piece of peach lol

One of their hot-seller, Bread Pudding ($6.00). It so delicious with the cake being warm, and pouring the milk over is so yummy! It was like the last piece on rack when I got it around 12plus. Must-try dessert! Furthermore, this is available daily smile

Located in the CBD area, you might have to expect a crowd during the weekdays. One plus point is that the chef made an effort to ask each diners for feedbacks, etc. which I believe is pretty lacking in most other places.

FYI - They have different menus for each day except for All-Day Breakfast.

I didn't quite favor the location of the restaurant, which is like less than 5 steps to the lift, as well as the door to the entrance/exit.

Forest Mushroom soup ($9.00) is a veloute of wild mushrooms with a melange of garlic croutons, cream and chives.

Fisherman's Net pizza ($18.00) made up of prawns, squids, mussels, mozzarella and grated lemon zest. Comes along self-service of cheese and chili pepper. Totally thumbs!

Duck Pot Pie ($22.00) is slow braised duck in rich wine sauce with vegetables and spices in a baked shell. I love the thick gravy and braised duck meat is soft and tasty.. Empty bowl as a result.

Cod with Sauce Vierge ($28.00) is pan-seared cod fillet with sauce vierge servd with panache of vegetables and aligot potatoes.

Durian Pengat ($8.00), which is one of the popular dessert there. It is luscious durian pulp cocooned in crepe. Durian pulp is sweet and thick, and pretty awesome for the durian-lovers.

You will also be provided a complimentary parking ticket, so less the worry about parking at Bay Hotel smile

For details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/11/modern-asian-diner-mad.html

I was really enjoying myself with the mass variety of food! While spoilt for choice, I decided to get my butt rested at Modern Asian Diner, also known as MAD.

Wide and spacious seating area, and definitely able to accommodate to large group or probably some small-scale celebration and sorts. We were guided to an empty table right away, despite during weekends. Knowing that it's our first time here, we were taught how to place the order, interestingly.

Crispy bun with Salted Egg Yolk Filling ($4.80). Comes in a standard quantity of 3 pieces, and to be eaten piping hot, of course. Not too salty at all, and I would say its nicely done!

Eggs Benedict ($14.00). Probably parma ham eggs benedict, runny egg yolk and soft bread. Quite a nice brunch to have if you are a yolk-lover.

Spicy Miso Pork Belly Sandwich ($14.00). Pork belly is not hard, and quite easy to cut and chew.

Took some time to arrive, the Steamed Black Angus Beef Siew Mai ($6.20). I thought it was pretty unique and special, thus ordered it. It tasted much like our usual siew mai, and beef fillings are bouncy.

The monkey mascot, representing the Statue of Liberty, Empire State focus on another set of values! Cheeky monkey tongue

Their mains range from pastas to burgers and to westerns only. Of course, includes starters, sides, drinks, and desserts.

Seafood Ring ($6.90) is seafood ring fried to golden color, and served with caesar dressing and cocktail sauce. Love the seafood rings, as they were fried till crispy, and chewy.

Herb Roasted Maple Glazed Chicken - half ($11.90) - whole ($16.90). Chicken was prepared with maple sauce beforehand, and covered with brown sauce to add taste to it. I love their roasted chicken too, as sauce is sweet with some peppery taste and goes well with the meat. Meat is tender and juicy, while the fries are not over-fried, leaving the inside still mushy!

Baked Salmon ($16.90) where fillet is baked and served with flavorful seafood sauce, mesclun salad and amshed potato. Salmon is overcooked, making the fillet a little hard. But sauce is sweet and creamy, which I love to dip with fries, mesclun salad, mashed potato, and seafood rings.

Their serving portion is not stingy at all, and with the price stated, it is definitely worth it, and probably even cheaper than it should be! While the condominium is still in development behind the mall, do pay them a visit before it gets too crowded even on a weekday evening!!

Classy decor with dim lights, resulting in comfortable ambience.

Do note that if you are entering for desserts, you will be directed to the low tables located near the entrance, while high tables for the mains.

Cajun Spring Chicken ($25.00) is Pan-Seared Half Baby Chicken with Seasonal Vegetables. Underneath the cajun chicken is actually carrot puree.

Fish and Chips ($23.00) is Norwegian Haddock in Tempura Batter with French Fries & Tartare sauce. I love the fish and it was fresh and meat is so tender!

Under the section Cups, we ordered Tiramisu ($9.00) with highlights such as Mascarpone Cheese Mousse with Coffee Infused Ladyfinger. There is liqueur in it, and quite strong too if you are used to those without. But not enough to make you drunk, as confirmed by a non-drinker like me tongue Soothing dessert!

Under Mini Cakes, we ordered the Raspberry Mille Feuille ($9.00), having Caramelized Puff Pastry, Vanilla Mascarpone Cream and Raspberry Jam. Crunchy and creamy dessert. We had this cleaned up in no time too!

Side by side with That CD Shop, you get to enjoy some pop music for free!
