Frog porridge for dinner Smile Dec 14, 2012

Categories : Seafood | Zi Char | BBQ

A hot bowl of frog porridge at Geylang Lorong 23 on a cold rainy evening is pure bliss smile

My friends and I went to the food place for our dinner and we shared a bowl of frog porridge. The frog legs tasted really delicious and the sauce was very tasty! I love the generous serving of greens that came along with the dish!

It is a little spicy, however, and my friend was blowing her nose throughout! Nonetheless, we agreed that this frog porridge is good! We finished every single drop in the bowl and had a hearty meal! We would love to come back again! smile

Spaghetti and Pasta at Sapore OK Dec 14, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Italian | Pasta

All it took was 10 minutes to finish the entire plate of delicious spaghetti. The spaghettis at Sapore Italiano are definitely worth every cent! Be it a casual gathering or a simple dinner, many students crowd at the NUS branch to satisfy their cravings for spaghetti, pasta and pizza.

My friend ordered this prawn spaghetti in tomato sauce and it turned out quite well! He loved the portion and creamy sauce! His portion is larger than normal, as he requested for more spaghetti and ingredients. It cost him below $20 still!

I tried the seafood pasta and found it good. It tasted very much like the normal seafood pasta sold outside, but I still like it anyway! smile

Mania over Pasta Smile Dec 13, 2012
Categories : Italian | Pasta | Halal

The meatballs and pasta dipped in tomato sauce tasted good and was definitely satisfying for lunch. Fond of meatballs, I tasted this dish and was quite happy with it.

The meatballs here are better than Ikea meatballs, as the meatballs are smaller, juicier and more tender. The pasta in tomato sauce was good as well!

However, the serving portion is too much for me to handle and I felt quite bloated after finishing! This is a dish you should try! smile

Wonderful meal at Blue Ginger Smile Dec 13, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Peranakan / Nonya | Restaurant

My friend celebrated her 21st birthday at The Blue Ginger Restaurant. We ordered several dishes, and it seemed very much like the usual zhi char style. The only difference was that the food tasted very special.

First up, we have the Ayam Panggang. The photos are definitely deceiving! The sauce was sweet and had a distinct ginger taste. The meat was tender, moist and firm. At this time of writing, I am really glad to have captured the images of my amazing dinner.

Next, we have Chendol. It tasted rather similar to the ones outside.

There is the juhu kangkong, which had nice fried onion to go with the vegetables. The vegetables were not too oily and are definitely cooked to perfection!

Overall, my friends and I were very satisfied. The dinner was surprisingly not too expensive and we relished every single drop on the plates! smilesmile

Visit to Starbucks Smile Dec 13, 2012
Categories : American | Coffee

It was the first time my mother tried Starbucks coffee. As a coffee lover, I brought her to a nearby Starbucks branch to try the hot cappuccino and frappuccino. The hot cappuccino was a little bland for my liking, but I liked that we could add in sugar to make it sweeter.

The frappuccino tasted great with whipped cream and crushed ice.

My mum concluded that the frappuccino was indeed very tasty, but commented that it was too sweet. Here is my mum with her recommended cup of coffee- the frappucino! smile
