The store is located inside the ToTT megatore which is opposite the Maplewoods Condo along Bukit Timah Road. There are parking lots for those who drive and for those who don't, TOQUE is accessible by bus. There is a bus-stop right outside the store.

I was amazed by the spacious interior that greeted me. On the weekday I was there, there weren't that many people but I imagine that it could get more crowded on weekends.I was there for the assorted gourmet ganaches and there are four flavours inside the box. I like the filling and it made for a nice burst of flavour which is different from the Royce chocolates. Refrigeration is required.

What do you do when you are ravenous? Order food meant for three (when there are only 2 people who will be eating)! I jest.However, although that was not our original intention, my friend and I ended up doing exactly that. We ordered the Seafood Platter, making both our stomachs very happy. There was just so much to eat, and the very serious advice I would give is: order it only when you have bottomless pits for stomachs or when there are at least three of you.

The food was delicious, and arrived piping hot. The server even 'flamed' it, ie, lit it up with a flame. But be warned, that almost everything is fried, except for the vegetables. This is a good choice if you want to try a bit of everything and your dining companions are for sharing the food (and calories!).

Since the name is Shakey's Pizza, of course you must try its pizzas, right? You can choose from Hand Toast or Thin crust. The order below is Hula Hawaiian Thin Crust pizza ($18.90). The pizza was really good, juicy (if a tad oily) and with generous ingredients. Glad that I chose the thin crust one. I really like the presentation on a special board. Somehow, it made the pizza taste better than if it were served on an ordinary plate. The staff were efficient and enthusiastic.

There is only one outlet in Singapore at the moment. A good choice for those who are in the vicinity of Junction 10.

Joan Bowen was one of the first social enterprises to receive media attention. Its prices for mains are reasonable, most are below $20. Their staff are very pleasant and do their best for customers. Do call ahead before you go. They are often closed for private events or internal training.The Rosemary and herb chicken ($11) was quite good, the chicken was well-marinated although the presentation was rather simple.The Catch of the Day ($13) was pan-fried salmon, which was served on an uniquely-shaped plate, with a pat of butter and some greens. Some fries or mashed potato would have been nice.

The star/s at nando's is/are actually the side dishes since there are so many to choose from, depending on your personal taste and preferences.

For this visit, we had the garlic bread, grilled vegetables, mixed salad and mediterranean rice. All were good except for the grilled vegetables which gave a funny aftertaste. Order different side dishes so you can get to taste more of the items on the menu.
