Fish soup. Smile Mar 02, 2013

The Food
Fish soup bee hoon

Fish soup bee hoon

This place always has long long queue everytime when it comes to lunch hour. You can never miss this stall if you happened to past by as there will definitely be a queue. However, queuing/waiting time is not that long as the lady there is always very fast and efficient, which is good. The soup is so good. The fish slices I ordered were really fresh and huge as well. The good thing about this fish soup noodle stall is that they provide deep fried egg that is not very commonly seen in most fish soup stalls. Many people actually visit this place for that deep fried egg.

The Price
Reasonably priced! WOOHOO.

The Food
Grilled chicken with mushroom sauce

Grilled chicken with mushroom sauce

Ordered the set lunch at Jack's Place again. This time I had the grilled boneless chicken with mushroom sauce. This set lunch includes soup of the day with a slice of garlic bread at the side, tea/coffee and dessert of the day. The chicken was very tender and I like the side dishes too. Love their garlic bread as well!

The Price
Afforable lunch I must say, since the set lunch comes with so many items. Definitely coming back!

The Food
Unagi sushi

Unagi sushi

Have been a japanese food fan but this is my first time heading to Ichiban Sushi for lunch. I decided to order their ala carte sushi plate this time and it was quite good. The unagi was fresh. Apart from this, I ordered other sushi from the ala carte menu as well. For instance, salmon sushi, soft shell crab. All of them were not bad I must say.

The Price/b]
Quite expensive but there are many set meals available for you to choose from too. I may try them the next time I visit them!!

Dim sum Smile Mar 01, 2013

The Food
Ma lai kao

Ma lai kao

Teck kee tanglin pau is my favorite dim sum place when I need a quick snack in town. One of my dim sum orders is this ma lai gao. It was very very fluffy and soft, like a sponge. Really love eating this, especially when it is served hot. It is very addictive too. A pity that I think the portion is quite small, as it cannot fill my tummy with just one ma lai kao.

The Price
Reasonably priced!!

Lapis sagu

Lapis sagu

I love kueh so much and Bengawan solo is one of my favorite place to go to satisfy my kueh cravings. This is one of my favorite kuehs among all the other kuehs they sell. Bengawan solo actually sells many different types of kueh. It was yummy, eating them one layer at a time. It was addictive.

The Price
The price of this kueh was so reasonable. At around one dollar per piece.
