Very nice puffs  Smile Jan 19, 2013

Categories : Sweets/Snack | Kids-Friendly

TIP TOP PUFF is located at plaza singapura basement 2.
It's pretty hidden in a corner, so you really have to find it, just like digging treasure in the sea haha.

I was introduced to their puff by my friend. The first time I had was curry puff, and it was good!
This time I went back, most of the puffs are out of stock!! That's how good their puffs are, always out of stock.

The promotion they had

Which is why I had to make do with the yam puff, but I don't regret getting it!
I like yam myself. But despite this, i really thought the yam puff was equally good as the curry puff!! Next time, I will get BOTH!

The puffs are very authentic and the crust melts in your mouth when you bite it. The edge are not hard too. Very nice puff!!

When we talk about soya milk and bean curd, it reminds me of breakfast complemented with fried dough stick. But have you seen any other flavored bean curd, other than original and almond flavours?

Full review on:
http://www.chiamhuiy.com/2013/09/food-review-happy-boy-soya-bean.html

To satisfy the constantly changing tastebuds and preferrences of consumers, Happy Boy Soya Bean is one of the few soya bean suppliers that explores into creating many exciting flavours of soya bean curd.

When we arrived at the main outlet, I was very much surprised by the bountiful amount of flavours Happy Boy was about to offer. All together there are 11 flavors - Original, Almond, Milo, Mango, Strawberry, Blueberry, Honeydew, Green Apple, Matcha Green Tea, Taro and Durian.

Their best sellers are in chronological order: original, almond, mango, durian and matcha green tea. If you are a tea person, I strongly recommend the Matcha Green Tea flavour which has a hint of bitter taste in it.
HappyBoy has also engaged about 20 channel partners, of which includes bakery shops, fruit stalls and food eateries, so as to make their soya beancurd more accessible to consumers.

What I enjoy the most about HappyBoy Soya Bean is the level of sweetness. To adopt a more healthy consumption for consumers, HappyBoy has specifically reduced the usage of sugar and has vouched to not include gypsum (material used for cementing) to harden the beancurd, and gelatin (hence halal). HappyBoy's beancurd texture isn't as watery as its competitor too.

Original flavour S$2

My favourite is the 'unique combination' introduced by Joanne, where she suggested pouring the soya bean drink onto the beancurd and eat them both together. The end result produced watery beancurd but you could distinguish the different texture as the beancurd glides down your throat with ease.

Love,
Celine

Ever since Plaza Singapura had its new extension, there are so many new restaurants opened, and I am opened to so much more choices now!

AMBUSH pasta bar is one of the newly opened outlet, and I thought I could give it a try for one of my casual lunch with my boyfriend, since our school is so near.

http://chiamhuiy.blogspot.sg/2013/01/ambush-food-review.html

The place was really huge so there's no fear of not getting seats. In fact, I went in the afternoon and the place was generally quiet and peaceful. I like the ambience, unlike bustling and crowded restaurants.

Ambush has certain weekday promotions which makes it a better reason for you to come!
Bruschetta $3.50

Bruschetta $3.50

Toasted Focaccia Bread with Tomato Salsa
The appetizer that I ordered was Bruschetta. I was craving for something sour and thus appetizing, so I thought I would go for this.
Although the tomato salsa on the toasted garlic bread made it soggy, the bruschetta in overall was appetizing because of its tangy tomato salsa!
Bacon and Ham - Cream sauce $11.80

Bacon and Ham - Cream sauce $11.80

Sauteed sliced streaky bacon and picnic ham
My boyfriend ordered this because he was having a sore throat and I banned him from eating anything fried or whatsoever. He likes bacon and ham too so here he goes.

To me, the cream sauce tasted a little diluted. It was not as creamy and thick like how usually pasta restaurants would. Give you a very relatable example - Pastamania! Pastamania's carbonara's cream sauce is really thick and I would usually feel sick after eating for long. But good thing about this dish is that since the cream sauce is not as thick, you don't really feel sick after eating for long. Pros and cons la huh.
Ambush's Paella $13.80

Ambush's Paella $13.80

White clams, Mussels, Queen Sacallop, Prawns, Sliced bacon and Sausages
From the web: Paella is a saffron-flavored Spanish dish made with varying combinations of rice, vegetables, meat, chicken, and seafood.

Ooooh this was good by the way! I've never really tried Paella before, and this was my first time. I decided to give it a try because I've always liked seafood and tomato sauce. Since this is a combination of both my likings, and I wanted something filling, I went for this!

This dish has rice cooked in thick tomato sauce. It turned up to be a satisfying dish which was very filling.

Overall, this is a great place to have a quick lunch without waiting for very long. The waitress are pretty polite and react very fast to orders. The food was served very quickly as well. Fast-paced service, thumbs up! I really enjoyed the food here, especially the Paella. I am getting hungry now. lollollol

Oishi food  Smile Jan 27, 2013

This is one of the very few stalls I would buy from KOUFU. Honestly, the food at koufu isn't really great since I have very picky. But then, since there' very little choice, we have to make do with quite a few food varieties only.

Good thing is, the food at oishi express isn't that bad! The portion is great, and the value is definitely worth your money spent here. Recently, they implemented discounts of 10% for SMU students, another reasons for me to eat here! smile

Few of my favourites are:

Good ice cream!  Smile Jan 05, 2013

Oppsy! I forgot to take photo of the ice cream I had!

But what I has was mint mint chocolate chocolate chips. There was plenty of oreo cookies in it, generous amount of chocolate chips in the minty flavoured ice cream! The smallest size was $5.50. Slightly overpriced it is, but the quality of the ice cream has been by far the best I've tried because they are very smooth and creamy. Love it!

The place is always crowded, and the queue is always long. It might be hard to find seats there! But all for the good ice cream man.
