I was thirsty that day so I grabbed a cup of grass jelly drink. it's operated by an old couple. the grass jelly drink only costs 80 cents and I though it's really cheap! The drink isnt too sweet or bland, with plenty grass jelly in it. I just want to share with everyone the cheap prices of their drinks, which we wont always find. Else, nothing much about the drink actually, heh!

I tried this quite some time back and I was really really disappointed. To think that the place is so well furnished and they have so many outlets, how can their pasta taste so bad? The pasta was obviously either overcooked or placed too long, so much so that they have expanded quite a bit. The seafood agio olio was worse because it tastes so bland. I will never go back again.

The long hour simmering managed to make the slices of beef brisket extremely tender. The original smokey taste from the beef brisket was further enhanced by the restaurant's home-made sauce. Perhaps I prefer slightly more rawness in beef, so I thought the beef brisket was a little dry. Nonetheless, it can be easily complemented with their sweet tangy home-made BBQ sauce. Within the succulent meat with alluring smokey bbq taste are huge chunks of beef cartilage. If you like cartilage, good for you! Nonetheless, the homemade BBQ sauce and their dry rub seasoning made this a very satisfying dinner for a carnivorous lover.

Swatow serves dim sum breakfast in the morning and it always get very very crowded at about 10am. My family and I went over as early as they just open and thus was able to get a seat quick.

I think this is a good place to have dimsum with your family because they have a good variety and some tasted good. Their liu sha bao is actually green in colour and I believe it's because of the pandan essence they used.

Swatow is a little pricer than average dimsum places tough.

Half Chicken $17

The half chicken comes with 2 side choices. I ordered the potato salad and coleslaw and they are quite nice! The coleslaw is made of fresh crunchy vegetables. The meat is a little dry though, but very tender. Chicken with Penne Pasta $12
The pasta was nice and of appropriate moisture. The chicken strands in the pasta tasted much better than the half chicken.
