Salted Baked Chicken for Dinner Smile Jan 18, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean | Food Court | Hawker Centre | Kids-Friendly

This is a dish that is not commonly found in food courts so I was really surprised to see it being sold here. Have been wanting to try this stall and I finally got a chance to. The portion is quite big; I could only finish about half of the food. This would probably benefit someone with a bigger appetite. The dish is very value for money, with such a big portion sold for $6.

The chicken thigh is very tender but I found it a little too salty. Can't decide if it was really baked in salt or they just marinated it in salt.

Lunch @ Kim Gary OK Dec 31, 2012

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Chinese | Restaurant

Had lunch at this newly opened Kim Gary located in ION Orchard.
Ordered Nissin Noodles with Hot & Spicy Pork, as well as iced milk tea.

The noodles were nothing special; just regular instant noodles. However, I found the pork fragrant and flavourful smile The iced milk tea was just regular, nothing impressive.

Dinner @ Yoshinoya Smile Dec 31, 2012

Categories : Japanese

It has been a while since I've eaten at Yoshinoya so I went for dinner here with a friend. As usual, I had my salmon bowl, and it tasted great as always.

This time round, I noticed that there was a self-service kiosk. However, there was no student meal available on the system, which is something I feel that they can consider improving on. Since the purpose of the kiosk is to reduce waiting time for customers, it makes no sense for them not to include the full menu.

Hazelnut Milk Tea Smile Dec 31, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Never realised that there was a KOI outlet here in Orchard until today; probably due to the fact that I'm never on this side of the road. Bought hazelnut milk tea with zero sugar as usual and it tastes the same as every other time when I bought it at other outlets, which means that the KOI franchise ensures that all the outlets produce the same quality.

Lunch OK Dec 31, 2012
Categories : Food Court

Had lunch here on a Thursday noon. The place was packed and there was a long queue. The signature items were the mushrooms and fried meatballs. The mushroom gave off a very nice fragrance and we could smell it as soon as we got near it.

Ordered 7 items with the regular yellow noodles, with the sauces.

Overall, I found the food to be average and the place was really packed so with regards to the seating, it wasn't very comfortable.
