Worst Fishball Noodles Ever Cry Dec 25, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Teochew | Hawker Centre | Noodles

I have eaten fishball noodles from the same franchise elsewhere before and it was not bad so I decided to try this outlet at AMK for lunch. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Undoubtedly the worst fishball noodles I have ever eaten.

I asked for chilli but didn't taste anything, the noodles were bland and had the "raw taste" of noodles. The fishballs were also too hard. Ended up not finishing the noodles.

A Night Out at Orgo Bar Smile Dec 24, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Restaurant

Went down to Orgo Bar & Restaurant on a Friday with a friend for drinks. The atmosphere was surprisingly quiet, making it a good place for friends to catch up, chat and just admire the view. However, if you are someone who is unused to Singapore's weather, you might want to reserve seats in the glass enclosure.

The interior is quite cosy and comfortable, giving an overall comfortable experience. Grapes were served before we ordered.

We ordered a vodka tonic and a mojito, as well as tequila shots. The drinks are pretty affordable in terms of price and taste ok.

However, the downside of the bar was that there was no separate sections for smokers and non-smokers, making non-smokers feel uncomfortable. The ironic thing was that while I was there, there were these 2 guys smoking and ash trays were provided for them, but there was a sign on the wall, stating that smoking was not allowed. It would be better if there were separate areas for smokers and non-smokers. Also, I found that the servers were a little too "present", making customers feel a little uncomfortable.

Overall, I had quite a good experience at Orgo.

Went for dinner at the Graffiti cafe on a Thursday evening because my friend is a huge fan of it.
Personally, I found nothing special about it. It tasted average to me, or even not as good as other wanton noodles I've tried that are nowhere as famous.

I bought the noodles, together with a canned drink. I actually asked for green tea, only to find out they ran out of it when I got to the fridge. However, the staff did not even bother to inform my friend and I, which I found dissatisfying.

Overall, I felt that it was an average experience at an average eating place serving average food. Nothing impressive.

4 Fingers Crispy Chicken Smile Dec 19, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Korean | Fast Food | Halal | Korean Fried Chicken

Went down to 4 Fingers Crispy Chicken for lunch today. Ordered their best seller and signature dish, the 6 pcs wings/drumlettes in a mix of soy garlic and hot & spicy flavours.

The chicken here is comparatively less oily than other places such as KFC, which I love because it makes the skin extra crispy lol However, the chicken itself is a little dry as a result.

The place was very crowded as it was lunchtime and I found it to be quite noisy, but is quite understandable judging from the number of people.

The interior of the place was not bad; I especially like the lamps and wallpaper lol

A downside of the restaurant would be that the employees seemed to be slow in clearing the tables, and may inconvenience customers. I saw a few tables with piled up boxes and paper cups due to the inefficiency in clearing tables. Hopefully they can improve on this.
