Food
This is probably the first and last time I will patronise this Hong Kong Street Shop. It really brings a shame to the well-known shop name. What I ordered tonight was some standard item that one will probably order from a zi char store like this! *Roar* My dinner was messed up!

Yee Mee - $4.00
It's hot - a plus point. Overall this plate of mee is awful. The noodles are not soft enough. For yee mee, it should take a longer time to cook and this is not the case. The ingredients consists of few miserable fish cakes, fatty pork and vegetables as compared to other zi char stall.

Beef hor fun - $5
I'm utterly speechless by the taste of its hor fun and the ingredients it gives. Whoever had prepared the food is stingy. One or 2 pieces of beef and with few pieces of leaves together with the gluey gravy.

Service
service is moderately ok.

Ambience
This store is located in the typical kopitiam environment.

price
The pricing is standard for zi char stall but the food has to be improvised to make consumers realised their money are worth the food.

Recommendations / Tips
I personally do not recommend these 2 dishes that I have posted.

Food
I ordered the following during my lunch time :

Thick Toast Otah $1.60 - Toast box recommendation.
This is being shared among my colleagues and imagine how bad is it. We cannot finish it, there are 4 of us. Otah filling is little and bread is simply too dry.

Mee Rebus $4.80 - Mee Rebus tastes ok and can be better if it is served hotter.

Service
Lousy service rendered. They make us wait very long at the queue for the otah and workers there has no sense of who comes first. Staff has no urgency in clearing up and freeing up tables for other customers.

Ambiance
You can see house flies and its very irritating when you have to eat and 'chase' houseflies away.

Price
Price is standard throughout the chain outlets of toastbox.

Recommendation
Suggest to visit other outlets if service is left unchanged.

Spending per head: Approximately $5

First and will be last Cry Jan 15, 2013

Categories : Thai

Food:
The food was mediocre & i will not recommend or go back to this place for thai food.

Minced meat with basil leaves is oily as well

Chicken Wrapped with Pandan Leaves is too oily.

Glass noodle had a foul smell and I actually dont like it

Value:
For the amount of money being forked out I can find better thai food at West coast coffee shop

Service:
The staff was very unfriendly. You have to queue up and pay when you order the food.

Ambience:
The place is cramped. It is not recommendable for people who wants to chit chat as you can hear whosoever chatting at the side of your table. i would not recommend this place to anyone.

Overall this place is terrible !

MOF with Lenas Cry Jan 15, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Desserts and Cakes | Sushi/Sashimi

There is nothing fantastic about MOF with Lenas, although we can order both japanese and western food at the same time at a single place. Nothing good about the food, so-so standard. In fact i chose this restaurant due to that there is no queue and now i understand why. It used to have long queues outside.

The carbonara is not what i have expected. Too Salty

Ramen - well, there are better ones out there. I will rate this dish below average.

The califonia roll is just ok.

Tamago is tasteless.

Spending per head: Approximately $20(Dinner)

I should say they should maintain the good itacho sushi standard in all outlets. Perhaps in Star Vista outlet, it's new, the service was slow & wrong orders taken. I have visited other outlets and always thought that their standards are of the same so I order quite a few dishes. Service in this outlet has to buck up!sad. The tables arent big enough to place all the dishes and the waitress is having issue with it.

Steam Egg with crab tastes watery. I prefer the usual chawanmushi.

Jellyfish is generally good but portion is little and overpriced.

We had the longest wait for this Unagi, I was wondering if they went to the nearest supermart and buy it and then cook it before serving us.

Teriyaki don is too dry. How to finish a bowl of rice with dried chicken?
